Hosts were friendly and attentive during interactions. When there was one small issue, it was fixed immediately. They were generous and helpful. Property was beautiful and quirky, as an 1850's place should be! Very spacious, yet quaint and well-equipped. Was very comfortable, clean and truly felt historic. River was beautiful. A great visit!

Great property with welcoming and responsive hosts. We enjoyed going to see surrounding caves and historic battlefields all within about 30-45 minute drive. Also kayaked and fished in the river and had a great time away. Our daughter loved the loft and thought it was amazing to have as her room during our stay.

Charming and clean historical home. Lots of character and a good view of the “Mon”. Peaceful and relaxing with good walking around the town, and close to area exploration. A visit in history.Host was pleasant and communicative. Just one warning, (wink, wink) bring extra money because the knickknacks for sale around the house are irresistible and provide a great token of your adventure to take bring home with you.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and relaxing property. It is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were so kind, very accommodating and answered any question we had. We could have sat on the porch and watched the river for hours! Would absolutely recommend this property 100%. It is only about 30 mins from Morgantown so it is great for anyone visiting a student at WVU but wanting a place to wind down and have calm and quiet.

The house is beautifully appointed. It is so clean, quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and the view of the river was gorgeous! Great communication with the hosts. They responded immediately to any questions we had. We were visiting my so. At WVU and it was the perfect place to be out of the traffic in Morgantown, beat the price hikes of hotels. Very easy drive to Morgantown.

We were very comfortable in the house and proximity to the Monongahela River was interesting. There is not much, except history in Greensboro, but there is relative proximity to great hiking in West Virginia (Raven’s Rock and Rock City trails at Cooper’s Rock St Park), Maryland (Swallow Falls) and Ohiopyle, PA (Ferncliff). Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob tours are worth a visit. We also visited Pittsburgh to experience the National Aviary, Warhol Museum and The Original Oyster Bar. It took some driving but this house was central to the places we wanted to see. The value for renting was very good.

This place is beautiful and has so much charm. My pup and I had a great relaxing weekend (even if I was there for work). Coming back to the relaxing environment was great and much needed.
