Come visit Wise Owl Retreat located outside of Dunnellon FL. A beautiful apartment nestled amongst towering oaks, right on the Withlacoochee River. The river winds around the front
and side of the property. Relax and enjoy nature, bird watching, kayaking and fishing on this secluded, scenic property. The lower level was built into an in-law suite in 2023. In 2024 it was converted into Wise Owl Retreat Dunnellon. A short-term rental, which is located on the lower level of the home. The owners reside on the upper level. The suite has 1 bedroom with King sleep number bed, 1 full bath, full kitchen and a living room with a sleeper sofa. Laundry and trash access through the shared hallway. Security Cameras installed on the outside of the property. No swimming at the property (due to gators in area). Located centrally from Crystal River, Beverly Hills, Lecanto, Inverness and Ocala. About 40 minutes to the World Equestrian Center, Gulf of Mexico and downtown Ocala. 1 Hour from Gainesville and 1.5 Hours from Orlando and Tampa. Minimum 1-night stay.

Kim was a superb host! Helpful, available but not intrusive at all. The accommodation was clean, new, well equipped and in a lovely waterfront environment that transported me back to the many historical novels set in the south that I have been so enamored with. Beautiful old Florida with moss hanging from trees and beautiful bird songs abound. We enjoyed the nearby springs and rivers and had a lovely time.

Secluded down a 3/4 mile dirt road and the very last house. Lots of trees and wildlife. River around 3 sides of the property. Beautiful views. Very relaxing!

What makes this property unique

Location is in the middle of several cities with lots to do. Secluded, away from the city yet close enough for entertainment.
