The mattress in the upstairs bedroom was pretty bad. The listing showed bunk beds but they're really too loft beds which are impossible for an adult to get into and difficult for a child to climb up and appears to be very unsafe. Bathtubs were very slippery with no mats or grip or grab bars. When we used the washer and clothes dryer, we discovered the lint trap in the dryer appears to have not been cleaned out in a very long time and looks to be a fire hazard.Overall though house was clean, comfortable and very well appointed.

About the host

Hosted by Ann Hutcheson

Host profile image
I have spent the last 15 years in Alaska after planning on only being here for a year wrapping up my doctorate. I absolutely love the outdoors, culture, and community of Alaska. As for being a host, I enjoy helping others get the opportunity to explore Alaska or spend time with family. Given we have limited hotels in the area, hosting increases military families the opportunity to spend time together in Eagle River versus trying to drive between Eagle River and Anchorage especially in the middle of the winter.

Why they chose this property
