Great Pitstop for the Family

Very homie vibe which is nice when away from home on vacation. Fun game room for the kids and very comfortable. Only quibble was that locks on the door were not the most secure but it was a nice neighborhood. The hot tub is a nice touch after a long day.

The hot tub wasn’t filled, window curtain fixtures falling out of the walls, furniture needs upgrading, the master bed has a huge crater in the middle from not having support. The furniture in the living room is not comfortable to sit in, nor is it very convenient to seat more than 2 people. Didn’t get a response from the host until we were actually staying there and had a problem that needed addressing immediately.

This is a worse reflection on VRBO than the host, when we arrived the hot tub was clearly not operational. There didn’t even appear to be power to it. So I messaged the host and we came to the conclusion it could not be repaired during our stay. So check in is 4pm by the time I contact the host and VRBO it’s getting late. I politely agree to not write this poor review and even pay for that night if I can be refunded for the rest of the stay. Everyone seems to agree. After the fact I see a very small portion of my 4 night stay is refunded. I am told I am expected to pay taxes on all 4 nights, the full cleaning fee (calculated by number of guests and nights) AND they jacked up the price on the one night I agreed to pay for. Completely screwing me over and stealing my money. Months now of going back and forth with this host and VRBO I have disputed the transaction with my bank. VRBO dispite multiple cases opened and escalations has told me this is somehow my fault and since the “stay was marked as complete” there is “nothing they can do” and I am responsible for this inflated false price, and taxes and cleaning on 4 nights in a place we stayed only a few hours due to the property being falsely advertised. I am completely shocked and appalled at VRBOs complete and utter lack of customer service and that I am having to dispute this stay with my bank
