This is the second time we have stayed here, and we still love it. It is in a perfect location for Mardi Gras, easily walkable to the parade route. The house itself is lovely and well-kept, and the host is very responsive.

The cottage was great and had everything we needed. The fenced in backyard was awesome for my dog as were the other little dog touches. The communication with the hosts was good and very responsive. Overall, nice place!

"Thank you so much for the kind words! We are thrilled to hear that the fenced backyard and 'dog touches' made the stay easier for your furry family member—we know how important those details are. It was a pleasure communicating with you, and we’re so glad the cottage had everything you needed. Come back and see us (and your pup!) again soon!"
Beautifully restored historic home. Clean well furnished attractive in GREAT location near downtown attractions and easy access to interstate s.Cons: floors were uneven; no door in rear bath; could have used better lighting ie lamps.Best for adults although the 9 year old with us gave it 4 stars.

"Thank you so much for the kind words about our restoration! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the downtown location and the historic charm. Regarding the original floors, they certainly tell the story of a home built in 1908! We appreciate the feedback on the lighting and the rear bath door—we are already looking into stylish solutions that respect the home's heritage. A special thanks to your 9-year-old for the 4-star approval; we’ll keep working hard to earn that 5th star from the experts next time!"
Really enjoyed our stay for Mardi Gras. You don’t have to worry about parking because you can walk to downtown in no time or walk to the end of your street and be on the parade route. Felt safe the entire time. House is very homey and the little treats were an added bonus.

"Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed the 'vintage cottage' vibes and our proximity to the best of downtown Mobile. It’s always a treat to hear that the yard was a hit with the pups, too! We take great pride in our communication, so we’re thrilled you felt well-supported. Come back and see us again soon for more museums and local shops!"
I really enjoyed my stay here. Had everything I needed for a trip to mobile for Mardi Gras. Close to the downtown but also quiet at night time. The bedrooms were cozy, with plenty of room. The house was beautiful and I love the historic bones of the house. Large backyard. Walking in to the house with a hand written note and complimentary treats was the cherry on top. I just wish my stay here was longer, would recommend for anyone visiting this area!

"Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so glad you found the cottage charming and our location in the historic district convenient for your downtown adventures. We truly believe the 'doggies' deserve a 5-star vacation too, so we're thrilled the treats, toys, and bowls were a hit! It’s great to know the beds were comfortable and you had everything you needed. We can’t wait to host you and your furry friends again!"
Graceful Southern charm. The house is light and airy and had everything we needed. We loved the tall ceilings and wood floors. We were concerned that our little dog would be able to get under the house in the backyard, but otherwise the yard was secure. We loved it and still book again

"Thank you for the lovely review! We are so glad you enjoyed the Southern charm, tall ceilings, and natural light that make this historic home so special. We appreciate the feedback regarding the space under the house—maintaining a secure environment for our four-legged guests is a top priority, and we’ll be looking into a solution to ensure even the smallest pups stay safe in the yard. We can’t wait to have you and your dog back for another stay!"
So many wonderful things to list about this home and host. The house was lovely and so well appointed. We asked the host if the house had one random thing that was very specific to our needs. It didn’t have it so the kind host went and bought it for us. Not many who would do that. We so appreciated it. Loved the fenced in back yard for our puppies, beautiful decor, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We would stay there again without question. Highly recommend this property! Very convenient to Downtown as well and a beautiful walkable neighborhood! Parking on the side of the house was also very helpful. No question that this is an exceptional property!

Thank you for your review and feedback. We really appreciate your comments and treat our guests as we wish to be treated ourselves. Warmest regards Colin and Sandi
This was a wonderful house, just as described and depicted. It is nicely decorated, cozy and yet large enough to offer space. Our dog loved the fenced in back yard. The host was responsive and had clearly thought of everything, up to dog treats, kitchen amenities, maps and more. The location couldn't be better. Mobile has lovely historic neighborhoods and this house is in the middle of one of them. We had many wonderful walks, just looking at homes. It takes about 20 minutes to walk downtown (one direction) or to other amenities (Walgrens, Aldi) in the other direction. Parking next to the house was an additional benefit. I recommend this place as highly as possible!

"Thank you so much for the high recommendation! We are thrilled you enjoyed the historic neighborhood walks as much as we do—there is nothing quite like the architecture in this part of Mobile. It’s wonderful to hear that the fenced yard was a hit with your dog and that the kitchen amenities and local maps helped you feel right at home. We’re glad the parking and the stroll to downtown worked out perfectly for you. We’d love to host you and your pup again soon!"
