The house sits on quiet country road and is well maintained. The host provided snacks and essentials in case you forgot something. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
Our host was very welcoming and responsive; he took extra care to ensure our stay was comfortable. Our experience with the property and host exceeded our expectations. We were extremely pleased and would stay at this property again and recommend it to others.
It was a good stay, I even had the chance to talk to the host in person, really nice guy, we were gonna go back but it’s not working out with our schedule and the house being available
The property is amazing. The house is beautiful and very inviting and comfortable. It was easy to locate. Even though the property was older with loads of charm it was updated with many modern conveniences. The owner stayed in contact to make sure we had everything we needed. We would stay again.

Wow, this is so amazing. Thank you so much!!!! Definitely welcome again!
We were all attending the Duchess County Sheep and Wool festival. The property had plenty of space for the 4 of us. The kitchen was well-equipped and made it easy to cook so we didn't have to venture out. The lighting throughout the house was excellent and we knitted all over. Having 2 full baths was great, too. There was never a line at the door. The home is older so the staircase is very steep, but we overcame it! We did blow a fuse at one point and Kip got our lights back on very fast. Overall a wonderful stay. I recommend it!
Kip is an incredible host. The gem is meticulous. Every attention to detail was made for our stay. Luxurious bed and bath items, including thick towels, a super comfy bed and the best bedding. All of the details of the home are welcoming, nothing is missed including toiletries, stocked full laundry, snacks, even quick meals. Also we found, quick meals, dry goods, pasta with sauce, 3 bottles of wine to welcome us....condiments, spices, cleaning supplies, on and on. This was better, quieter and cozier than staying at a luxury spa, which we have done. I forgot my phone charger, there was a cordless one in the draw. Kip even checked in and said if we needed anything to let him know and he would drop it on the front porch for us. Thank you so much Kip. We can't wait to plan our next trip to your lovely home. We would love to be able to use the amazing back porch in warmercweather. We wish you much success!

About the host
Hosted by Kip
I reside on-site in the left-side unit and am available should you need anything during your stay. I’m a quiet, friendly artist, home designer, and project manager who spends much of my time working in the field or exploring local shops / antique markets / upstate.
While I maintain a presence on the property, guests enjoy a peaceful and private experience.
Why they chose this property
What I love most about living here is the sense of peace. The sound of the waterfall just outside the house creates a constant feeling of calm and makes the home feel truly special. The street itself is quiet and serene, which adds to the sense of retreat and privacy. At the same time, I’m still close to many of my favorite local shops, cafés, and places I enjoy visiting, so it offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience.
What makes this property unique
A Comfortable, Thoughtfully Prepared Stay
I’ve set this home up to feel clean, welcoming, and easy to settle into. The space is kept uncluttered and carefully prepared so guests can relax and truly feel at home.
Main Floor
The main level includes a fully stocked kitchen, bright dining and living rooms with great natural light, a sunroom that can also work well for light workouts or morning coffee, a full bathroom, and in-home laundry.
Upper Floor
Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms, a private office space, and a second full bathroom.
Sleeping Arrangements
The beds are one of my favorite parts of the home. You’ll find comfortable mattresses, quality linens, and a king-size adjustable bed in the primary bedroom for a restful night’s sleep.
Kitchen & Everyday Essentials
I like to keep the home well stocked, so you’ll find snacks, drinks, soaps, and other everyday essentials already here for your stay.
For relaxing in the evening, there is a 55” Sony Smart TV that’s simple to use.
Outdoor Space
The outdoor areas are part of what makes this property special: front porch where you can hear the nearby falls, spacious backyard with deck and patio, grill and fire pit, outdoor dining set with umbrella.
