There was no heat so I left after an hour. The host said I should wait for the radiators to cycle in to heat up. There were 3 radiators and two of them were ice cold. The one that did get a little warm was hissing steam and leaking ion the floor. I’m 71 years old and wasn’t planning on a camping trip. So I left and found another place. I will insist on nothing but a full refund and in fact should be compensated for the inconvenience and hardship.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re very sorry to hear that the heating issue caused you to leave early and understand how distressing that must have been, especially given the circumstances.
When you reached out, we did explain that the building’s steam heating system operates on a cycle and often takes time to fully warm up, which is typical for older buildings. That said, we regret that you were uncomfortable and felt unable to remain in the unit. Had you chosen to stay longer, we would have continued troubleshooting and coordinating next steps to address the issue.
Refunds and any additional compensation are handled directly through VRBO in accordance with their policies, and we will of course cooperate fully with VRBO in reviewing this matter. We take guest comfort seriously and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We wish you all the best moving forward.
