About this property
Storybook A-Frame Cabin, 5 Mins to Downtown Boone
Rekindle a childlike sense of discovery in the loft bedroom nestled under a peaked roof. A grownup treehouse vibe continues downstairs with woodsy furniture, folk art details, and a wood-stove. Relax outdoors on the swing overlooking the creek, or open the windows to let in a mountain breeze while you relax with the novel you've been waiting to read.
Simple and pretty, this small cabin is located in a small, quiet neighborhood of other cabins 5 minutes from downtown Boone.
THE SPACE
Welcome to your cozy mountain retreat! This charming A-frame cabin (about 900 sq. ft.) is tucked into the peaceful hills just above Boone—only 5 minutes from downtown and 8 minutes from the heart of App State.
Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space with a private bedroom featuring a queen bed and full bathroom, plus an additional queen bed in the cozy upstairs loft. The living room is the perfect spot to unwind, with a comfy loveseat and chair set around a wood-burning fireplace—ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The spacious kitchen is great for cooking up your own meals or enjoying delicious takeout from one of Boone’s many fantastic restaurants. Step out back to your own private deck overlooking a gentle creek, where you can sip your morning coffee or evening wine. Don’t miss the swing tucked just below the deck—it’s the perfect place to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the soothing sounds of the water.
Whether you’re here for adventure, rest, or a little of both, we’re happy to have you.
GUEST ACCESS
Guests will have full, private access to the entire home and property, ensuring a comfortable and uninterrupted stay. The only exception is the crawl space, which remains locked and is used solely for storage. Relax and make yourself at home!
>> IMPORTANT NOTES <<
HOST FEE
Please note the "host fee" shown in the price details is just our $85 cleaning fee.
GUESTS
This property is set up for adult couples/single travelers and isn’t suitable for families with young children. The space is not equipped with any child-friendly items, gear, or bed coverings and poses several safety issues: the loft stairs are steep and shallow and children are often drawn to them like a magnet. Furniture in the loft that is up against the railing offers a chance for a child to fall over. Additionally, there is an area between the deck and outside hutch where there is no railing with a six foot opening below that a child could step down into.
The living area only has a small two-person loveseat, not a full-size couch. This little cabin is ideal for couples, honeymooners, and single travelers, and our hope is that it will be a simple, quiet getaway for those seeking a smaller space.
**WINTER**
In the case of snow or ice, All-Wheel-Drive might be needed. Lynn Hill Road is paved, but steep. While this isn’t an issue in good weather, trips to the mountains during snow affect road conditions and vehicle requirements.
RELAX
The cabin is located in a quiet forest neighborhood so please no loud music or partying in the outdoor spaces.
PARKING
Driveway has parking for two vehicles max.
PETS
Sorry I'm unable to host pets, no exceptions.
