Charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin in a VERY private setting on 12 acres with a rushing creek.
The living area features an open kitchen and dining area, vaulted ceilings, and a stone fireplace and separate woodstove. This cabin is the perfect vacation getaway with a separate deck overlooking the creek.
Great central location, convenient to many area attractions. Beautiful setting all year round!

This little cabin is perfect for a secluded, peaceful getaway. Nobody around, yet close enough to shopping, eating, hiking, and recreation. Mike was an absolute delight to work with. We will be back.

Nice place in the woods but only 2 miles off the main road. It seems like you are remote but not really. Wifi works well as does tv. Close to Banner elk and grandfather. No ice maker so may need to bring a bag of ice. Beds and linens are very good. Ample sitting area.

Amazing Stay, Pictures don't do it justice. Exceptional Host

First things first, the host is absolutely amazing. Communication was excellent, gave tips on the area, always made sure we had what we needed and one of the easiest check out requirements we've had. The pictures do not do the place justice. The setting is amazing and the living room area is just spectacular. I am BIG on value and this smashed it.Location... It is about 25 minutes from Boone and about 25 minutes from Banner Elk and you guessed it, 25 minutes from Blocking Rock. HIGHLY suggest visiting all of them.Would book again and highly recommended. Book with confidence.

Beautiful Respite from the World

What a wonderful way to ring in 2023. We had a wonderful time at this quiet, serene and beautiful property. There was snow on the ground when we got there which made it even more special for our family from Florida.

Peace and quiet

Beautiful cabin nicely decorated and with all the amenities you need. The location was at 3800' and wonderfully cool at the end of July. Very comfortable and the continuous sound of the stream was always in the background.

Cabin in the Woods

Loved the beautiful location and proximity to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Boone. The cabin was very comfortable and stocked with everything you would need if you were cooking your meals at the cabin. We have stayed at several mountain cabins with steep, winding roads that were not paved, so this road, though curvy, was easier to maneuver because of being paved.

Vacation in the mountains

The property was a genuine log cabin with all amenities. There was a large wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and an Internet connected TV. The cabin was located an easy distance to most interesting things in the area. There was a winding road up to the cabin, which was not difficult to navigate, and the cabin was secluded with a running stream nearby

Wonderful vacation cabin

The cabin was lovely. Mike was very kind and accommodating. The cabin had anything you could possibly need. I was a little nervous about not having AC but we opened up the windows and the cool breeze was perfect. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Thank you to Mike! We will be back.

Litte Slice of Paradise

This is our third stay at this property. We very much enjoy the serenity of the mountains and the location of this property makes us feel like we are the only ones around. Yet, it takes us only a few minutes to be in the heart of town - Banner Elk or Boone. The amenities are all provided and our family enjoyed relaxing, playing games, putting together a puzzle and exploring the property. We found a sweet church for Christmas Eve Services and had a rib roast for dinner made in the oven at the property! Thank you Mike for everything and we can't wait to come back in December of 2025.

An incredible retreat into nature

Mike was an excellent host who gave clear instructions and communication and was always available to help, while completely respecting our absolute privacy on the property. The home was beautiful, clean, well-supplied and modern, and perfectly nestled near the flowing creek. The scenery was amazing, the location very quiet, and the experience so relaxing. If you're looking for a place to reconnect with nature in comfort and solitude, this is it. We would love to return! Thank you Mike for an amazing stay!

My wife and I are recent retirees and now we split our time between the NC mountains and Raleigh.

Why they chose this property

We also have our private cabin on an adjoining 9 acre property next to Creekside, so any questions or otherwise we're only a couple of minutes away. We've been renting this cabin ourselves now for almost 15 years and probably half of our business is returning renters. One retired couple have rented from us in the summer months for 10 years, so we have a lot of clients that enjoy the privacy and location and return often.

What makes this property unique

Very private. Located between Boone and Banner Elk. Gated community of 200 acres with only about 25 cabins. Surrounded on 3 sides by US Parkland (Julian Price Park) and protected land owned by the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy. Property is at 3800-4000' elevation. Summers rarely get above 75-80 degrees during the day. Nights are cool and mosquito free. 15 minutes to Boone or Banner Elk. 30 minutes to Beech Mt or Blowing Rock. Winter skiing 10 minutes away at Sugar Mtn. or 30 minutes to Beech Mtn. Tubing 10 minutes just across the road at Seven Devils or Sugar.
