Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Before you head out, we ask that you take a few simple steps to help us prepare the space for our next guests. Return furniture and decor to its original position if moved Turn the thermostat to 73°
Place all used towels in the laundry basket or bathtub Load and run the dishwasher with any used dishes Make sure the grill is turned off, cleaned, and covered Please leave front porch light ON
Return all outdoor equipment to its proper place (kayak and paddleboard in holder, life vests in container) Place all outdoor cushions and pillows in deck box under balcony to protect from weather
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

As a designer and builder, I’ve had the joy of remodeling and designing homes for clients on Cedar Creek Lake — and each time, I fell a little more in love with the area. There’s something special about the pace of life here: the quiet mornings, the way the water catches the light, the sense of space and calm that’s so hard to find in the city. Eventually, I knew I had to create a place of my own to enjoy it too. This neighborhood in particular felt like the perfect fit — peaceful, family-friendly, and with true lakefront living. It’s become a treasured escape for my family, and now I’m thrilled to share it with others.

The Modern Minnow sits in a rare sweet spot — it has one of the best, most expansive views of this channel on Cedar Creek Lake. But it didn’t start that way. It took a full-scale renovation, including strategic tree removal and reworking interior walls, to fully unlock the view and let the natural beauty in. Now, every room feels connected to the water. Combined with thoughtful design, an open layout, and three outdoor living spaces, this home brings together everything I love about lake life: comfort, connection, and the kind of view that makes you pause and stay a little longer
