Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, a responsible gun owner seeking professional instruction, or simply someone looking to unwind in the mountains, Blue Ridge Stay and Shoot has something for everyone. Relax in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, or enjoy the peaceful scenery from our cozy outdoor seating areas.
Easy level driveway and parking right off main road. Located just a short drive between Blue Ridge and McCaysville, you're never far from scenic hiking trails, charming local shops, and top area attractions—all within 30 minutes or less.
As a brand-new property, we're still putting on the final touches. Interior décor is being added and the lawn is still in progress—but rest assured, your stay will still be comfortable, peaceful, and memorable. We welcome your feedback and reviews as we grow both our rental and training programs.. We appreciate the feedback. We are very fairly priced when compared to other schools and instructors offering anything similar. I teach Monday through Saturday (approximately 10 months of the year due to weather, holidays etc.) to students that pay these fees and return weekly. I have shot at large fancy gun clubs to rural Rod and Gun clubs across the country for over 25 years, none offer what we have created at Blue Ridge Stay and Shoot for the prices we are at.
We also have a variety of targets. Stationary, reactive, and moving - we can set up nearly any scenario we choose on a private and safe range. This is not a standard range where you stand in place while shooting. At Blue Ridge Stay and Shoot you will learn to shoot targets 4” to 8” in diameter from 5-40 yards while building marksmanship and life saving skills. Moving and shooting, elevating your skills. Exactly as I teach my family.
Building a range is not cheap. Upkeep, insurance, licensing, taxes and fees all contribute to the price of lessons. Don’t forget it cost me over 25 years of training and tens of thousands of dollars to give me the ability to quickly improve your shooting skills. Nothing has come cheap for me; if you want a cheap safety lesson, this is not it. You can pick one - good or cheap.
Not everyone is willing to spend what is necessary to train and that is OK. I just leave the decision up to you as to how much you value your life.
Please feel free to call if you want to discuss further. You might be surprised after a phone call as to why you might just want to pay for quality training session with an instructor who cares about seeing you win should your life ever be in peril.

If you’re looking for an incredible place to stay and reset this is the place for you. The hosts were very helpful and available. The pictures of this property does not compare to in person . It’s beautiful and breathtaking.. can’t wait to come back soon. Highly recommend!!!

The cabin was great! It was in the perfect location between Blue Ridge and McCaysville. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and had all the necessities. Would happily come back.
Perfect for a small weekend get away. It does need a few more things for longer stays. It doesn't have accessable closets, doesn't have dressers, and only provided 1 rag per bathroom. Other than that, it is a beautiful place and an amazing stay.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. As for the closets, only 1 of the 3 closets are not accessible as it is used for necessary linen storage for turnovers. The dressers, I did try to make that apparent in the listing that this is a new build being filled with furniture as we move forward. Necessities have been focused on first. If there was only one rag per bathroom, that was an error as there should be enough towels and wash clothes for the number of people in the reservation, up to 6 people and defendant on the length of stay, sometimes more. As always, thank you for the review. Hope you enjoyed your stay.
It was even nicer in person and agree the wood interior smelled so good. Everything was brand new. Any issues encountered were swiftly addressed by attentive owners.
This area has lots of nice mountain scenery. Beautiful cabin in a quiet area - perfect for a getaway. The firearms instruction was the best we've had. The house was very clean, and all fixtures are brand new. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this location! Thanks.

So glad you enjoyed our home. Hope to see you again!
Clean home. Comfortable beds. Needs better water pressure and temperature regulation if possible. Upstairs lights kept going out. Had to reset fuse in fuse box each time. Loved fire pit and hot tub. Need to add a Pizza Cutter for Pizza Lovers and some Salt and Pepper if possible. Loved that there was soap in the bathrooms. Highly recommend Rail Bikes in Blue Ridge GA.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Pizza cutter and salt and pepper are easy. The water pressure from the well is very good; (it will throw the hose around like a firehose) but it’s a brand new well and will improve as the well and plumbing cleans itself with additional use. As for the breaker, that will be fixed. Thank you for the review.
The house itself is beautiful, well laid out, and in a good location. Really it was a 4.5 star but that's not an option. We did run into a few issues that keep it from being perfect. The beds upstairs are hard as a rock. I know some folks like that but it made for some rough sleep. There were also only 2 pillows per bed so 1 per person. I was glad we brought soap and shampoo as there were only 2 hotel size samples provided per bathroom. No bag for bathrooms trashcans. No oven mitts in kitchen. Also the breaker for the upstairs bedroom tripped twice and had to be re set. Back to the positives- couch was comfortable, table was nice with good seating, kitchen has enough pots, pans, utensils, and dishes to cook with. Hot tub was really nice. Grill was good, fire pit was a fun added touch. It was really nice to provide books and some board games too! All in all we had a good stay

Thank you for the review. I am sorry you could not locate thr oven mitts, I found them. All beds are brand new. Its unfortunate they were not what you preferred. The breakers are a new type that are made to be extra safe but are learnjng they are overly sensitive so they are being replaced as they are identified. As for pillows, I will consider adding extra but that is often abused as is providing larger bottLes of shampoo and comditioner. Renters take them with eaxh stay and it gets expensiVe. We do provide more depending on occupancy. Many cabins do not provide any. With all that said, thank you for all the positives as well; all reviews only help us improve.
The house is great!! The location for what we had planned was perfect. There are a few negatives, but there is no need to mention those as they are very few, and minor, and have already been mentioned in other reviews, and aren’t worth mentioning again. However it is a new home, and the host strike me as the type of folks that are all about doing better, and getting better. With that being said, the house is clean, and very comfortable. If I were to make one recommendation is that access to at least a few cleaning supplies such as a broom, and maybe some disinfecting wipes would be helpful not only for clean freak guests, but to benefit the host also. If there was any available we missed it. It was around 25 degrees when we were there and the heat did great! I was fortunate to take my elderly parents on this trip, and I couldn’t have pick a better place to stay comfort wise, and we were able to make great memories in multiple places, again due to the perfect location. I will definitely rent again in the future if available. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Thank you for your review and for coming. There was a broom and as for wipes, we will consider, but these can be costly and unfortunately items like this are often taken. To keep rental prices down, we offer what we can. Shampoo, soap, paper towels, coffee, etc.
As for the negatives, I am sure most have been addressed.

What makes this property unique
This class is designed to offer a premium experience. You receive private, personalized coaching with a student-to-instructor ratio no higher than 3 to 1 on the firing line at a time allowing for focused, tailored instruction. You'll also stay in a brand-new, modern country cabin with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, offering 5 star-quality lodging just minutes away from local attractions and restaurants.
Our privately owned range is another key element of the value we provide. Unlike public ranges, our facility allows for far more advanced and dynamic training. This includes full movement drills, defensive and competitive shooting scenarios, firearms malfunctions and how to quickly get them back into the fight.
Our range also features a variety of paper, steel, and even moving targets—all of which are rarely found in one place, let alone in such a small/private-group personalized setting. Maintaining this private range involves substantial annual expenses for insurance, maintenance, and upgrades—but it enables a level of training flexibility and quality that public ranges or those rented for a weekend by an instructor simply can't match.
The small student-to-instructor ratio, combined with our private range setup, allows each shooter to progress much more rapidly than they would in a standard class that are usually 10+ students. Our program is designed for real growth and meaningful skill development while doing so with close family or friends. Additionally, ammunition is included in the class—another significant value. Ammo is not only expensive, but the cost of bulk purchasing and shipping has risen substantially, yet we absorb those costs to provide a seamless experience for our students.
We believe the training, environment, and overall experience we offer is rare, high quality, and worth every dollar.
