About the host
Hosted by Natalie Marshall

Bellevue is my hometown and my husband grew up near State College, PA. We love to travel and have been hosting for over 10 years. We both love the outdoors, great food and good music. Please ask if you have questions about the local attractions!
Why they chose this property
We love the history of this home. It was built by Fredrick and Clemence Chapman in 1836. Bellevue once had many tunnels in the downtown area connecting local homes and shops. This home still has a trap door and steps to the basement that were once used for the Underground Railroad. While doing updates to the property we found a letter written to Clemence from her sister that was from the 1850’s.
What makes this property unique
This home has the charm of an era gone by. It retains ash hand sewn floors on the 2nd floor, two marble fireplaces, and two doors with hardware original to the 1800’s.
