The chickens and yard were absolutely amazing- wish we had more time to enjoy and explore the grounds! Our host was very nice and communicative. We loved the two wineries near by. There were some bugs inside when we checked in and throughout the evening but that’s to be expected on the farm. Appreciated the fly swatter and the light traps! Highly recommend this stay.

What an amazing spot! Perfect weekend getaway, close to several hikes in Shawnee and we enjoyed our time on the Rendleman Orchard. Came on a girls trip, but we agreed it would be a great spot for a weekend with our partners and kids. Will be back!

Lovely Stay
The setting of this well appointed cottage is just lovely. The cottage is fully equipped with anything you might need, plus there are all kinds of fun extras like classic albums and stereo, an outside grill and seating area, and a pond you can gaze at from a private porch swing. We loved being nestled among the peach trees and visiting the chicken coop in the morning. The beds are very comfortable and the “convenient store” is a great feature. We look forward to staying here again since our daughter just graduated from SIU and has landed her first job in the Carbondale area!
We travel monthly and this is one of the BEST VRBOs we've ever stayed in! So much thought and intention went into this property. We noticed and appreciated all of the thoughtful details. They have everything you need and MORE for your stay! Perfect for couples, families, and friends. Golf cart rides were so much fun! Loved the chickens & fresh eggs! The proximity to wineries is unbeatable. So many "extras": Fresh eggs, coffee, cream, sugar, teas, spices, fresh eggs, food/snacks/other items on site for purchase, lots of things for littles (porta crib, bedrails, toddler utensils/cups, toys, games), books, games, art supplies, a guitar (complete with capo and picks) firewood, roasting sticks, binoculars, telescope (get it set up during the day), outdoor blankets, robes, clothes steamer, extra fans, toiletries....too many things to list. We definitely could have spent more time here. We hope to be back soon. Thank you for all of the love and care put into this property and the experience for your guests! Well done

Wonderful place to relax or play. Many thoughtful details to make the stay amazing.
A delightful cottage thoughtfully transformed with all the creature comforts. Highly recommend a stay here. Super quiet and relaxing. Amazing area with so many activities/places to visit for adults as well as children. Very responsive owners and so many thoughtful details we were genuinely surprised and impressed. From games/coloring books for kids to scan and cook pizzas in the freezer for late night snack or back up plan for dinner - to access to electric side by side vehicle to cruise around the orchards. Maps provided for hiking/walking or riding. Very well done and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend.

Sisters Weekend Getaway
We had the most wonderful sisters weekend at this cozy cottage on the orchard. It was surrounded by beautiful scenery and we felt right at home from the moment we stepped inside. We enjoyed sitting in the swing on the back porch overlooking the pond and orchard. We even caught ourselves sitting and talking to the chickens in the most adorable coop. We laughed until our stomachs hurt. We loved taking the golf cart to the Market and touring the orchard and looking at all the beautiful land. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby wineries and shoppes. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

Everything you need at this orchard oasis!
The Cottage at Rendleman Orchards was the perfect location for our staycation! Any and everything we could need was conveniently provided.
We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen as well as grilling and dining outside, made smores by the fire pit, and stargazed during the meteor shower. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve found, and our toddler loved fishing, riding the golf cart, and exploring the land. We were impressed by the toddler amenities such as toys, dining sets, cups, high chair.
Easy access to the Farmer’s Market & flower fields, but tucked away enough that light and sound are no issue. We love how central this location is to exploring the wineries off 127 as well!
Allison was amazing about checking in, and the welcome guide was incredibly well put together!
10/10 would stay again, and look forward to the opportunity. You must do the golf cart add on, it adds a whole other aspect of VIP and exploring to your stay!
We didn't realize there would be no shade, so due to weather, wasn't able to be outside much. The kitchen was not as clean as I would have liked. Counter tops and stove had to be wiped before used. Someone's leftover food was left over in dirty microwave. Telescope was not able to be used due to lack of instructions. Overall, loved the cottage, reading the farm history and the homey feel. We were very impressed with the amenities! The property host was very reachable!
