Our extended family of 11 had a wonderful stay at Casa Ligera in Akumal! Perfect location and a beautiful home with the best view! We loved being able to walk to some great restaurants, Yal-Ku Lagoon, and the beach. Caretakers Cesar and Doris took great care of us during our stay, and Host Michelle was very responsive.

The staff on property were excellent and it is a great property and location, the only issue was the shower in the downstairs room in the separate annex did not work correctly, dispite efforts to rectify it.

having such a beautiful home in a beautiful place was amazing, we’re already talking about “next time”! the property was very comfortable for my family of 13! each room had its unique scenery and design, loved how spacious it was for us and how easy it was to spend time outside with lots of seating and shade, we loved enjoying the views from the pool and rooftop. plus the coconuts and iguanas! really appreciated the on site staff, they were a great help and fun to talk to!we enjoyed exploring Akumal so much, very walkable and new things to see and do every day! golf cart rental is so worth it for getting around too. we went to a local grocery store from the provided list for most meals but La Buena Vida was about a 6 minute walk and was a yummy dinner as well as the Turtle Bay Cafe for the fresh bakery and smoothies! plus the convenience stores were great for snacks and if you go to the pueblo around 5-6pm get the elote!! thank you Michelle!!

Our stay at Casa Ligera in Akumal was nothing short of incredible! From start to finish, the experience exceeded every expectation. The house itself is absolutely amazing. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, and waking up to panoramic ocean views from literally every room in the house was an absolute dream.Our private chef prepared exquisite, restaurant-quality dishes every single day. Special thanks to Cesar, the caretaker, and Teo, who kept everything spotless and pristine—they were both on top of every detail and made us feel so well cared for. We went on an amazing catamaran excursion, and had a Yoga instructor that was to die for, but one of the absolute best parts was having a local massage company come directly to the house. Getting massages and doing Yoga on the rooftop terrace with the ocean breeze and incredible views was pure bliss. While the house sits right on the ocean's edge with stunning views, a full beach setup is just a quick 5-minute walk down the street from the house. The beach was crystal clear with zero seaweed, and the beach club facilities made spending the day there effortless—lounge chairs, a restaurant, a bar, clean restrooms with showers, and a cute shop for beachwear and essentials.Akumal itself is a super quaint, charming town filled with warm, friendly locals and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.Casa Ligera is a true gem in Riviera Maya. We can't wait to come back!
