Welcome to our home on Pleasant Street. For the past two years, we have been lovingly restoring this house with the help of friends and family, and we are excited that now we can share it with you. A 200 year old house full of character: with three serene bedrooms, a cozy book lined living room, a dining room and cheerful, fully equipped kitchen. A welcoming house full of antiques, artwork and some very cool surprises we discovered in our renovations that we’d love to show you!

About the host
Hosted by Laurie Goldman and Liam Mahony

We have lived on in different towns on Cape Cod for nearly 40 years and we know its many hidden gems. Laurie is a potter, a former science writer and whale naturalist, and an avid rower. Liam is an international human rights consultant. We have raised two children here on the Cape and have long been involved in Cape Cod's theatrical, artistic, and scientific communities.
Why they chose this property
Sandwich village is beautiful, tranquil and fascinating. There is so much within a short walk: beach, boardwalk, libraries, coffee shops, lovely restaurants and shops, museums and even minigolf! We are lovingly restoring this classic 1815 house in a community that truly values its history and beauty.
What makes this property unique
We have one of the oldest houses in the neighborhood, and larger than most - with lots of room and a big shaded back yard. The house has gone through many incarnations over the centuries, and in our renovation we have tried to combine modern comfort with a real respect for that history. The property, and our experience fixing it up, were featured in a documentary, "If our walls could talk" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X46wANPSqdA)
The location is excellent: you can easily enjoy a day in this neighborhood without a car.
