About this property

The Mill Creek Hideout

Have you been looking for a place where you can camp and ride at the same time?

We are a small family that has a 13-acre wooded lot with various trails, perfect for young kids and families to ride on. We can accommodate dirtbikes, ATVs, side-by-sides, golf carts, and electric bikes. We also allow BB guns, airsoft, and pellet guns, but you must have proper safety equipment.

We have recently built this cabin that can sleep two adults and three children comfortably. The triple bunk has three twin-size beds and the single bed is a full-size bed. A queen-size and twin-size air mattress can be provided if needed. We have set this up so that all you have to bring is your personal belongings, your machines, and your food/drinks.

This is a primitive-style cabin as of now, there is no electricity or running water. We have battery/solar-powered lighting and lanterns for the inside as well as a water dispenser for drinking and cooking. Any food/drinks you bring, or choose to purchase, will need to be in coolers you bring or ones we can provide.

A Wal-Mart is within 8 miles and a corner store is within 2 miles of the cabin. We can provide coolers for you to use if you choose to purchase food/drinks once you get here. Pots, pans, cooking utensils, cups, dishes, and eating utensils will be provided. A charcoal and propane grille is provided.

For the restroom facility, we have a freshly serviced outhouse/porta-potty with a sink and freshwater. We plan to add an indoor bathroom and a small kitchenette soon.

Again, there is no electricity. We plan to install a solar power generator soon, as well.

We are trying to provide a very relaxing and easy-to-use camping set-up. We want you to spend all your time making memories riding and enjoying the property. We have a lot of wildlife throughout the woods. You may see deer, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and a large variety of birds. There are a few farm animals at the edge of the property and surrounding area that children can visit. We have yard games, board games, and some children's toys in the cabin. We will also be providing: outdoor chairs, the fire pit ring with some firewood (if more is needed, you can purchase it from the neighbor),

An added benefit is:
- We are within 30 miles of Lower Southwest Michigan towns and cities. For example: New Buffalo, Niles, Three Oaks, Cassopolis, and many others.
- We are within 25 miles of Potawatomi Zoo and Washington Park Zoo,
- We are within 20 miles of the South Bend Cubs Stadium, South Bend Chocolate Factory, and Dinosaur Museum.
- We are within 20 miles of Michigan City/Indiana Dunes Beaches.
- We are within 15 miles of the Potato Creek State Park.
- For fishing: Fish Lake has public fishing and is within 3 miles.
(We are providing this information, just in case you want to do more than just ride).

We would like to apologize that we are NOT able to accept pets at this time.

For the riding side of things, you must provide proof of liability insurance on your machines and sign a waiver to be able to ride. We have been advised by our insurance that you must have this coverage and it can be cancelled at any time. Please reach out to your insurance agent before booking. We do not provide machines, you must bring your own!

THIS IS RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Please feel free to message/call us with any questions.

Steve and Macy were incredibly kind and welcoming. The cabin was surprisingly spacious and made for the perfect weekend escape from the noise of everyday life. Their property offers plenty of space for riding quads, golf carts, or other toys, and the surrounding area has no shortage of activities like the Crumstown Trails, fishing, and golfing. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Hi! My name is Macy, and this is a project that my grandmother, father, brother, and I have been working on together. What we strive to do is share our property with families that have children who ride.

A quick short story:

When I was a kid, one of my dad's best friends' parents let us use roughly 20 acres of their farm and woods where we were able to set up a little campground. At the campground, we had a small camper, tents, a fire pit, and a track out in the woods where we rode dirtbikes, four-wheelers, and side by sides. The best part about it was that we were able to keep our belongings and machines there during the week, so when the weekend came along, all we had to worry about was creating memories with our family and friends. Still to this day, we all talk about it.

So with that being said, we want to rent this cabin out to families to experience the same thing. We would like to make it as easy as possible for you, so you can just show up and not have to worry about anything but creating memories. We hope that keeping it simple with allow for more time riding and enjoying the woods.

We're also located close to many different attractions. Those are listed in the description of the cabin listing.

It is private property, so it makes it safe for even the most novice riders.

If you have any questions or want more information, please feel free to reach out to us.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it's beautiful and peaceful. Wildlife is abundant right at our back door, and we want to share that. There are deer, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, a bald eagle, and many more types of animals. We also have a few farm animals right next door.

What makes this property unique

Us. My grandmother and father love entertaining and meeting new people who share the same interests.
