About this property
Light Filled Home 10 miles West of Boulder with Views of Cascading Waterfalls
Escape to the charming mountain town of historic Jamestown, just 10 miles west of Boulder, and discover the enchanting beauty of James Creek… with dozens of cascading waterfalls throughout town that embrace homes and two town parks. At the edge of the community, this home feels private and secluded from the outside world. You first sense this when you enter the south facing light filled living area, and then walk out onto the deck overlooking beautiful cascading waterfalls and forest. Drink in the incredible sunrises and sunsets and keep an eye out for wildlife that visits on occasion… deer, moose, elk, fox, eagle, wild turkey and even the rare bear.
Enjoy the quiet and luxury of your own beautifully designed and fully equipped three bedroom sanctuary. Bask in the sunshine and warmth that floods through the expansive windows offering breathtaking views. Listen to the sound of the sometimes gurgling creek, sometimes rushing river.
Relax in the beautiful setting of this Southwest style home graced with arched doorways, barn doors and wood or tile flooring throughout. The living area and primary bedroom, which is separated from the other two bedrooms, have French doors opening onto the wraparound deck. Most rooms in the home have views of the cascading waterfalls.
This unique retreat home is the perfect place to unwind and explore the many natural wonders of the area. Bring your hiking shoes, mountain or road bikes, fishing poles, or skis and explore the many trails and features accessible right in town… including a tennis/pickle ball court. There are many more trails only a few miles outside of town, including one of the best kept secrets in this area, the Saint Vrain Trail that winds alongside the Saint Vrain River. Or head up the scenic Peak to Peak byway and turn north to Rocky Mountain National Park or south to the nearby Eldora Ski Resort for a day on the slopes.
It's not just the natural beauty that makes Jamestown special. Visit the soul of Jamestown…the legendary Jamestown Mercantile Cafe, known by locals as “The Merc”… just a short couple minute walk from the house for fabulous food, local draft beer, and live music. In the summer Friday night is wood fired Pizza Night in the Park and Sunday morning is Brunch in the Park… just across the street from The Merc. Jamestown has been “discovered” by Boulderites and beyond so come early for a picnic table or bring your blanket and/or chairs (provided) and partake of the incredible food cooked by local chefs, the sounds of the creek, and live music from musicians far and wide. Enjoy the many events happening throughout the year, including JAVA JAM (JAM=Jamestown Artists & Musicians), JAM for the Arts, and the infamous Fourth of July whole town party featuring all day festivities starting with a pancake breakfast in the “little park” across from The Merc and ending with fireworks (weather permitting) & live music in the “big park” at the end of lower Main Street.
Whether you've come to enjoy Boulder, are looking for adventures, or just ready to relax in a unique mountain retreat, this home has something to offer. With easy access to Boulder, Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, Eldora Mountain Ski Resort and beautiful Brainard Lake, you'll never run out of adventures!
Note: The unit is on the upper level and accessed through the front door. Parking for two vehicles in front of the home. The downstairs unit is occasionally occupied by the owners (a few weeks at a time in the spring and fall), who are retired and travel most of the year. Please feel free to contact us with any questions about our travel schedule. When we are away we have a local manager on hand to help with any of your needs.

About the host
Hosted by Jyoti Sharp

I've lived in this wonderful mountain town of Jamestown for over two decades. There's no place like it, with the charm of small town living surrounded by mountain beauty, down-to-earth people and authentic community. My partner and I travel most of the year and recently simplified our lives by moving to the downstairs unit (which was previously available on VRBO and for which you can see a few reviews. There are also reviews from the summer before the historic 2013 flood, and the years between when I owned a nearby home while rebuilding). We are occasionally on-site in a separate living space with separate entrance. I am available by phone/text for any questions and have a local manager/housekeeper.

What makes this property unique
