My wife and i stayed here as a weekend getaway really. We ended up hitting a deer with our van an hour into our 5 hour drive down there. So that was unfortunate. We ended up arriving at the house at 12:30 saturday morning. We did have some difficulty finding the door in the dark but once we did we got in easily with the code provided from the owner. The house was clean and well decorated. My only complaint about it was when we got there it was cold out and cold in the house as well. It did take until saturday afternoon to get it warmed up to comfortable. The 3 bedrooms are on the ground level with the rest of the living areas including the bathroom upstairs. We enjoyed how secluded we felt. My wife even saw a deer walk through the driveway saturday night. The bed was comfortable. Fridge was cold. Water was drinkable. We unfortunately did not use the hot tub. When we returned from hiking sarurday afternoon it was raining so we just stayed inside for the night. Smart tvs in livingroom and master bedroom. We didnt use any of the others.

I was very disappointed with this rental and the actions of the owner. We booked this for this past weekend-we arrived on Friday. We pulled up to 3 overflowing garbage cans with more garbage on the ground all around the cans. This can be dangerous as there are bear and deer all around the area. All 3 bedrooms located on the floor you walk in with the main living area, kitchen and bathroom on the 1st floor. One bedroom had no lights and a hole in the wall. The main living area only had a ceiling fan light, and the ceiling fan was not working. There was no dishwasher so you had to wash dishes but no towels provided. The stove took 45 minutes to preheat and the 2 large burners on the stovetop were not working. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low as well. When I reached out to the owner they took several hours to respond and finally admitted that they had a large party that week that had done damage to the house and they were trying to fix things. Had we known in advance of the damages we would not have gone. We did not complete our stay and left on Saturday. I have been renting on VRBO for over 20 years, and this has been my worst experience. I did ask for a partial refund but have not heard back from the owner.
