Great location for ski in/outRoomy accommodationsGreat value for location Community spa is nice with a hot tub/steam room and sauna - although the steam room and sauna are hard to figure out how to useConsistent with other reviews: 1) a floor lamp in the family room would go a long way but the bedroom lighting wasn’t horrible 2) washer didn’t spin the clothes but there is a free community laundry on the 3rd level 3) cold water is about non-existent coming out of the faucets.Despite those issues would definitely stay again

Glad that you enjoyed your stay! We will check on the items you mention and get them resolved. We are having to replace the in unit washer/dryer. That is happening this week.
Access to walk into town was limited and relatively long unless you cut through the snow.

Sorry you thought the walk to Town was to long. We say it is a 7-10 minute walk into the Village, but the property is ski-in/out. There is a gate and a path, that is not walking through the snow. It is maintained by the on-site building manager.
This was our first year staying here and we loved it. We are a family of 5, parents and 3 adult kids , and we had a friend. Great sleeping and living space and the ski in/ski out was SO CLOSE AND EASY. The only complaint is that the unit is a little dark, especially the master bedroom. Another light or two would be nice.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. I will check on the extra lighting. Hope to see you again.
This beautiful, spacious condo is steps away from the slopes leading down to Golden Peak. The condo was very clean and spacious for our family. The check-in and check-out processes were fairly simple and they were great to work with. Communication was great during our stay.
The only negatives we had during our stay were the beds in the master bedroom were older and very hard; and the decorations were very dated.
We really enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again!

Spacious and lovely condo right on the mountain
We just returned from a 6 night stay in this lovely Northwoods condo and we hope to return. 2 beds in every room gave everyone space to spread out. The unit is well stocked, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. And we loved the wood burning fireplace. The gym and pool and jacuzzi facilities were wonderful too. The accessibility to Vail's slopes could not be beat. Be aware though, that the tunnel that leads directly back to Northwoods is not always open, and the magic carpet closes at 3:30 making for a somewhat uphill hike at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this condo.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. There are some nice amenities at Northwood's! The tunnel is suppose to be open all the time if there is snow.....were they doing any work on it? See you next time.
The location is amazing! The apartment is cozy and close to the golden peak gondola and ski rental.
However, finishings need a bit of updating. The pillows and bed linens smelled humid. The sliding doors of all the bathroom showers were loose.
The washer and dryer unit did not work efficiently, the washer did not have a proper spin cycle so the clothing always came out soaking wet.
The plugs in the rooms did not all work. Would recommend having humidifiers in the rooms to better reduce the dryness in the air during winter stays.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We used to have humidifiers, however we cannot have them in the units anymore as they are not completely sterilized. We have the contacts for you to rent them for your stay.

This unit was in a nice complex but the unit was dated, dark, and dirty appearing. There were literally single lightbulbs in some rooms.
The carpet smelled of beer.
This was an expensive unit in a resort community and we expected more.
The washer/dryer was so small that it was unusable.
The only saving grace was a nice gym and hot tub and sauna/stream with showers in the common area of the community.
I would not recommend this unit and I am disappointed with VRBO in how this unit was represented.

I am sorry you feel this way on the unit. This unit is represented as a "moderate" unit, and it is priced accordingly.
The property managers are responsive and easy to deal with. The biggest pro for our family was the proximity to ski-school.
We also traveled with our 80 year old mother and the biggest con was the lack of a cleared path to main road. The sidewalks are heated but since the unit is at the end, there is a large section of driveway that was not cleared. Also, note that the heated pool is not open during certain months (kids were disappointed). There is a lovely updated spa area, showers, and smallish hot tub in the next door unit. One parking space in a heated garage was super convenient.
The property is dated as other reviews suggested but the price was right for us and we could overlook for the convenience of getting small kids on the slopes. A few small upgrades could really make this place more comfortable but a total renovation would price this place out for us.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay in the condo. The proximity to ski school and the slopes is fantastic! I will check on the issue with the sidewalk with the town, as they are to clear that as part of snow removal. Please send me the "upgrades" you think would make a difference.

Great Vail location for a big group
1) Great location. Ski-in/ski-out. You can walk or ski to a great lift that brings you up to the top of mid mountain or you can get off 1/2 way to some easier blues/greens. 10-15 minute walk to the village.
2) Unit is dated but very large and accommodates big groups with ease. Real fire place. The beds were good except for the ones in the master.
3) Water pressure and temperature was a big problem. There was no water pressure in the kitchen sink which made washing dishes nearly impossible which made making dinners at home quite difficult. All the showers had decent water pressure but the temperature alternated but scalding hot and freezing cold.
4) The amenities in the building are wonderful. There is a great gym and huge hot tub with access to a heated pool. Also sauna and steam room in the locker rooms.
5) Vail realty which manages the unit was very responsive to us although they were not able to fix the water issues.
Overall, this is a great place to stay and I would go back.

I am glad you had a good time. The building is having an issue with a circulator pump. It is being addressed.....that was the issue with the water.
Perfect place for a family of 7, very convenient location, they had an old school record player and my teens were so excited with it that they played it everyday.
Great place!

Glad you enjoyed your stay! The vinyl record player is quite a classic, hope to see you again!
Loved the location and the space. Home was ideal for our family. 3 bedrooms to let the 2 teens have their own space, and plenty of sleeping room with 2 double beds in each room. We also loved having the wood burning fireplace after long days of skiing. The home could really use some updates to freshen it up, but overall we loved what it offered with the ski in and ski out access.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again. It is dated somewhat, but that is why we can keep the price where it is.
My wife thought the condo and the furnishings were dated and I guess I would agree, but I think the fact that it isn't updated is reflected in the price. Probably should re-do the kitchen and bathrooms, but the place is roomy - 3 big bedrooms with 3 full baths. I would definitely stay here again and I would 100% recommend it.

Great Ski in/out - close to villiage - well maintained
This condo is in a great spot, very easy ski in/out and a short walk to Vail village. Having a property manager onsite was a big plus, as they were very responsive to all questions and requests. The spa facilities were very clean, really enjoyed the steam shower, but we did wish that they would open the garage door on the hot tub so we could at least be 'sort of' outdoors. The unit itself was very clean and well maintained, but it is outdated. We also found the glass tables to be a bit hazardous - as there isn't a ton of lighting in the living room, the one in there was hard to see and a couple of us acquired shin bruises until we started covering it with items so we could see where it was. Things we wished the unit had: any type of game or a pack of cards, small spoons and additional large spoons, a pair of scissors, and some additional big pots/pans. Still gets 5 stars as none of these missing items stopped us from enjoying ourselves immensely. Great place - you can't go wrong unless you require a fancy decor.

Glad you had a good time. I will look at the glass tables......The door to the hot tub does get opened....I will check with the building manager at Northwood's on that one. Hope to see you again.
