This first floor 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo is a blend of Key West charm, modern comfort and unbeatable location!
You'll enjoy bright, breezy interiors, serene outdoor spaces, a communal pool and walkable access to the best of down town. Perfect for a vacation escape. This is a ground level condo. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed, the other has two twins - both bedrooms are equipped with a flat screen TV.
The unit has free Wi-Fi, cable TV & streaming capabilities, one parking space, a fully equipped kitchen. Beach towels are included! The unit will accommodate up to 4 adults comfortably. The dining table only seats 2, however the patio set is set up with dining for 4 adults.

Spring Break in the Keys

Our family of four loved the location of our unit in Truman Annex! We were able to walk and bike everywhere within minutes. Bedrooms are small and unit needs some updates, especially carpet and bathroom. We loved sitting on back porch to read!

Loved the location!! Within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. We like the easy in and out from our condo with being on the first floor was a plus. Overall well stocked kitchen for our needs. Place is dated but clean. Good stay!!

This is the second time we have stayed in the Shipyard Condos. This one was a great area in the complex. Able to walk out of the gate instead of walking through the complex. We would stay here again.

Great location in the heart of Key West

A nice property within walking distance of many of Key West interesting spots! Nice warm pool. Patio was cozy . While the property managers can’t help it, we were bothered by cigarette smoke from the renters on the upstairs porch.

Exactly as Promised

We had a great time in the Truman Annex. We initially booked a different unit, but was advised that during our stay, the unit was to have repairs done. Compass Staff reached out and gave us several options for relocation. The unit we chose was perfect, the change was seamless and the communications with staff were prompt and professional. They moved us away from the construction area and we were not disturbed. The unit was clean and well maintained and was perfect for our family of two adults and two teenagers. We can't wait to come back!

Great spot to stay! Location was perfect.

Only thing that we could request be different is the pick up of the key and the returning of the keys! It definitely adds a bit of a wrench in the plans when you have a little one and a ton of luggage to go back to the office the day of checkout! Other than that the staff was super helpful with anything we needed, early check in, late check out both granted, easy communication, and the location of this one can’t be beat — street access from the back gate!

When we arrived we were told the unit we reserved had lost its a/c so we were put in another unit which turned out to bean even better experience. The unit, in the “Shipyard” section was a reasonable walk to everything. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the unit. Staying at these condominiums is like being at home, almost. You are able to cook if you wish and pack less because you have laundry facilities in the unit. This is now our go to place in Key West.

Shower door is not attached to tub side Sink clogs Bedroom closet doors are not attached at top Bedroom door to patio is rotting and does not close properly Loose floor tile in kitchen. Need new ice trays. Ones there are cracked Need new thermostat

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental had prior reviews of plumbing issues in bathroom which I figured would be fixed by the time we rented, but they weren’t . Toilet was a low, slow flush, as was the bathroom and the tub, well if you like getting a gross foot soak while taking a shower....need I say more? Compass Realty was contact three times and never responded to our issues. Also, the second bedroom with two twins was so tight you couldn’t even walk around the beds. Better suited to one full size bed. I will say they had plenty of towels, coffee filters and dishes, but sadly the only positive I can write here.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at condo cleaning lady came back to take photo of a cabinet that neeeded fixing,we told her the toilet was not flushing right.We told her the place was very clean inside. She said she would report it, but it would most likely be Monday tell they come out. We went in on Monday and Megan had the handyman already on his way and the plumber. Compass realty was great. Who ever owns the condo really needs to do some up keep on the place. Doors are rotting away afraid to open bedroom patio doors for fear the glass would break. This was our 3rd stay at Shady Nook and last, but not with compass realty. Can't beat the location though.We had a great time.

Really enjoyed our private entrance into our backyard patio too. I had been a bit nervous that being so close to the road might be noisy or we would feel less secure but that was no problem at all. If I had to think of something to make it even better would be to add more mirrors as there only mirrors in the bathroom - we were a group of 3 women so more mirrors would have been more convenient for getting ready for the day. Everything was in good working order and nicely decorated. I do just want to let folks know that if you have to reset the wifi the wifi box is in the bedroom with the queen bed. We got confused as we thought it was the box connected to the main tv in the living room but then again we are not all that tech savvy.All in all this was a 5 star vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in the Annex before so we knew what we were going for... generally quieter spot off DuVal. The unit itself needs some paint, the only toilet will give you one flush and when I looked to see if it was fixable , the insides look decades old. Previous reviews stated there is a single mirror in the whole unit, a simple behind the door mirror would help. The ac unit thermostat is another relic, we came into the property with it set at 80 and it was an ice house. Had to set it to 85 to keep it just right. A nest would be an upgrade that would prob save the owners money. The locks were sticky , digital key pads would be an improvement and safer as how many people have had those keys over the years? Finally, the pool has a few owner Karen’s who patrol that area and are rude. Our group wasn’t ones being approached but we witnessed a woman get annoyed at another group for having a small glass on the pool patio. Claimed they would have to drain the whole pool if it broke. It wasn’t near the pool. Other reports of raving Karen calling security if women went topless or wore simple nipple cover made daily poolside chatter. Unit owners making great profit off the units should not allow women to be body shamed and should speak to the board.

When we arrived, it was already dark and it took us a while to both get into the fenced in area to get the keys then figure out which unit was ours (It's near the very front but tucked away a bit.). Loved that it had a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The shower door needs some help, it seems to be falling apart a bit, and water leaks out, but still functional. We had a late flight out and the management company graciously allowed us to stay a few more hours which I appreciated so much. Great place, highly recommend.

Exactly as Advertised

This is an incredible location right in the heart of old town Key West and just a stone's throw from some of the best places on the Island. Easy access to the Truman Annex park and beach, as well as the Green Parrot and Duval st. The unit is exactly as the pictures show it. The kitchen is cute and convenient and makes the occasional meal very easy. The team at Compass made the check-in and check-out process as easy as is possible. No issues to note. Would definitely rent again.

One mirror in bathroom, very difficult for four women to get ready to go out...need more mirrors Not enough seats for four people to sit inside or outside...3 chairs for outdoor patio, 2 chairs for kitchen table Door to back patio very difficult to open Had to kill several cockroaches TVs in bedrooms don't work, no instructions. 2 rickety old beach chairs Dressers are so small, never unable to unpack 4 suitcases, had to live out of suitcase for a week Pull out couch mattress needs replaced and there were food crumbs inside when we pulled out the sofa bed. No furniture to sit on, on the front porch. The only plus was plenty of bath towels. Stayed in nicer places half the price.
