Lovely space for a large family gathering. Easy hike to the river. Excellent amenities in the kitchen for meal preparation. The fireplace was set up with paper, kindling, and logs, providing a cozy space during our winter stay. Our host was communicative, kind, and responsive.
We really enjoyed this house and our stay. Perfect for a family gathering, kid friendly. Beautiful views of the forest, really neat property. We definitely want to book again.

Forested Fairy Weekend Away
We had a lovely stay! The hot tub was relaxing, the beds slept well, the kitchen was perfect for our group gatherings. The woods were magical, and the river sounds were so nurturing. Can’t wait to return next year!
A wonderful house in a lovely setting large enough for 8 adults and 8 children. The kitchen is well stocked. The hot tub was a relaxing treat after a day of hiking and plenty of towels were available. Comfortable beds and pillows!!! We hope to be able to return to Minikahda Lodge.
Wow, we very thrilled with this property, it had everything we were looking for in terms of privacy, charm, and being situated in a beautiful river setting. We love rustic cabins and this one was very cool. The family really enjoyed it as well and we all had ample space. Would definitely stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! The space and layout worked great for our family, especially with young ones. Loved having the long dining room table that fit us all. So fun using the hot tub in the evenings. The lower deck was great for games of cornhole. Cynthia was so helpful and very quick on her responses to our questions. Thank you!

Beautiful
We had a great time. The house is secluded in the woods with a spectacular view of the river which is within walking distance but the place is not too far off the main road. The Hot tub was awesome, the kitchen well stocked and there were movies to watch and a nice sitting area. We had a great time! Thanks for hosting us!Colin
It was in a nice setting among the trees and along the creek. It was conveniently only 50 minutes from mt hood meadows. 2 of the bathrooms/showers were a bit awkward to use separately but understandable since it is obvious an add on to the property . And we made it work. The kitchen could have been a bit more supplied - maybe add aluminum foil and baggies to the drawer. There were only 2 dish towels int he kitchen and no dish rag to wipe the counters off with - only a sponge. Baking dishes and cookie sheets could be added to the kitchen supplies. We had a great time as a family . It isn't easy finding a place for 16 people to staying for 3 nights and be all together and so we sure appreciated being able to do that. The owner was very approachable and easy to work with.
This cabin is perfectly located for a Mt Hood weekend. We were a short drive away from awesome hikes and from kayaking. There was plenty of space for us to sleep and relax. The only downside was there was no water pressure in the kitchen and the dishwasher would only work intermittently so it made cleaning up the cabin before we left a pain.
This is a great place to have the fun parts of camping, but with a kitchen and real beds to sleep on. The kids played in the creek -- it's shallow with lots of rocks, and had just enough room on the shore for mom & dad to bring chairs down for supervision and enjoying the beauty of the setting. The fire pit area was great, and we appreciated that firewood was provided. We enjoyed using the grill. There were lots of bedrooms and we were all comfortable. We enjoyed nearby hikes and fishing at a trout farm. A note to parents of babies/toddlers, though -- the back of the property is very steep down to the creek, and at the top if your small child went under the railing they could fall. We had to keep the toddler at arm's length when outdoors.
This is like staying at an aging relative's home. Perfectly adequate but no frills. Pros: Beds for 14 (3 doubles, 8 singles). Kitchen has tons of dishes, full set of pots/pans, knives, etc. plus many slow cookers and instapots. Plus a lots of condiments/spices others have left behind. Clean. I did not suffer from dust or smoke allergies despite carpets and wood fire stove. Beautiful outdoor area we did not use because it was February.
Cons: This cabin has been added on several times and is weird. For instance, 2 of the full bathrooms are attached to each other, so you have to walk through one to get to the other. There's a padlock holding closed a faux wall in one bathroom.
No washer/dryer. Appliances, heating and plumbing old and finicky. Shower door, cabinet doors on their last legs. WiFi has very narrow band width.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Family get together
Door lock was quirky, unusable to secure the door; cobwebs everywhere! Some dishes in cupboard were dirty, had to wash them to use them. A bathroom behind another bathroom that you had to enter thru the first to get to the back? Weird! Not all channels on the TV were available, but used the wifi to access some others. Overall nice place but more attention to cleaning would improve the experience.
this is the perfect place for grandparents with lots of grandkids. Ours are all teens so individual rooms were very nice. the owner is very nice too. We are going to sign up for next winter
Fun stay in a nice place. Only thing missing was some snow.

Cozy spot on a river
Good cabin to accommodate a large group of people. One large master bedroom and 4 other rooms with multiple twin size beds. The listing made us believe this spot was a bit more secluded than it actually is. It is actually right on the road in a neighborhood of similar houses, and the lack of window blinds means this place never feels very private. A centrally located padlocked room with a sign saying something about cameras with no additional detail was also strange and unwelcoming. Other small annoyances included the kitchen knives being completely dull, and the DVD player not having power cords (good DVD collection though!). There is a foosball table, but alas no foosballs. Overall this place is close to Mt Hood and will fit a large group of people without a problem. We had a nice stay but the house is lacking a certain attention to detail you would expect for the price.

Good average house
Heater wasn't working up on our arrival, the house was cold and wood was wet outside. House is big and for its age pretty nice but the heating is a problem
