Thank you so much for sharing your positive feedback. Please let your family and friends know and hopefully we will see you again real soon!
The space was great! The teen and pre-teen particularly liked their lair on the top floor. They enjoyed the hammocks and playing in the backyard. Check in was confusing, we thought we had to pick up the packet at the office. But otherwise the property was easy to access.
The house was about a 8-10 minute walk from the beach, which was fine for our group. The beds were comfortable and basic amenities were provided. The loft space was really only appropriate for children as the spiral staircase is extremely narrow and may not accommodate many adults. The beaches in the north end of the island were not too crowded so great for social distancing. Still close to supermarkets and restaurants. All around a good time at a reasonable price.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It makes our day knowing you enjoyed your stay at our property.
Positives: Location is on a very quiet section of beautiful beach - we felt were all but alone out there - and yet close to town for restaurants and shopping. The main bedroom is large and kitchen tools/dishes/pots were well stocked. We liked the under-home parking and storage for beach toys. The AC worked great despite being there on "heat warning" days. Opportunities: We were disappointed by the lack of supplies - no beach towels, no beach wagon, no shampoo, one dish towel, one disposable dish rag, one bath towel per guest, and two Kleenex boxes with one tissue each. We've rented a few other places in the same area over the years and these things were routinely provided. Also, although perhaps recently redecorated, many elements need updating - the baths, the TVs, and seating. The home, being on stilts, jiggles some when people walk around (might be common for such home styles). And perhaps most disappointing was that the deck was teeming with ants, rendering it unusable. We called and they sent someone to spray within a few hours, but it made little impact.

Thank you so much for choosing our home and for sharing your thoughtful feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and truly appreciate the insights that help us continue improving.
Your visit happened during our 2025 renovation period, and we’re happy to share that several upgrades have since been completed. All TVs have been replaced and added to every bedroom, now equipped with Roku, and the Wi‑Fi has been upgraded to 1000 mbps. The palm tree that was attracting ants has been heavily trimmed, and the deck and exterior stairs have undergone significant repairs. While a slight sway can occur in elevated coastal homes during strong winds, the property is inspected annually by the city and meets all safety and structural standards.
We’re sorry for the supply shortages you experienced. Housekeeping has been reminded, and anytime guests need extra supplies or towels, our office is always happy to deliver more at no charge. Shampoo, beach towels, and wagons aren't typically provided in this area or price tier, but we’re actively reviewing them as possible future additions.
Thank you again for staying with us, we hope to welcome you back soon!
We had a group of 7, 4 were females. The only toilet tissue was the partial rolls already in their holder, no extra rolls. No dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent. The laundry detergent isn't an issue, but it is required by our agreement to load and start the dishwasher, and obviously nature dictates using the bathroom. Either list that these items should be brought or furnished them because we don't vacation to spend time shopping. We use VRBO at least twice a year and have never had this issue....this is NOT a complaint, the property is very nice, but either let the renter know to bring things or furnish them. The other issue, which is why we had to purchase laundry detergent is because there was ONE towel person.....ONE....which required us to purchase detergent and do laundry each day to have a towel. Again, we didn't come on vacation to do laundry.....just really need someone to anticipate the needs of the renter.
This house was great for our stay. It was in the northern end of the island which is a bit more remote and less crowded on the beach, but still just a few blocks from some beach side restaurants and mini putt putt. The house was clean and as presented in pictures. A few things could be done to make the house a more competitive listing. It would be ideal if the house provided a beach wagon, beach chairs, toys and umbrella/canopy. This would alleviate so much packing and space for those who are driving or flying from a far distance. It would really be a nice convenience for a beach house to have. This listing didn't advertise that it had these items, so we were prepared. However, it would just have been so much nicer had it provided those things. In the future we would consider this house, but would probably look around first for other houses that had those amenities. A few small things, the kitchen could use some sharper knifes and some cloth kitchen towels. Finally, we had to refill the propane tank right before dinner. This wasn't hard to do, but inconvenient timing and an added (small) expense. We had a great time in the area and loved all the things to do around town. We took a day trip to Cumberland Island (taking day ferry from St Mary's GA), had dinners in downtown Fernandina (Salty Pelican) and shopped in a few of the stores. Looked for shark teeth at Fort Clinch and enjoyed the pirate playground near by. We rented bikes to have a group ride through Edan's Creek Passageway (behind Pirates Playground), but would ADVISE to wear HEAVY bug spray. We weren't prepared enough for our size of the group and basically tried to get out as soon as we got in, b/c we were being swarmed. Thank you again!

Thank you for your review. We will be looking into the kitchen supplies you mentioned to address. Come back again soon!
The beach house was within walking distance of the access point to a very nice uncrowded beach. Includes ample parking and an outside shower head to wash the salt and sand off. Downtown and many oceanside restaurants are an easy 5-10 minute drive.

Beautiful Amelia Island
Had a lovely girls week at this home on the north end of Amelia Island. The house was nicely furnished and the kitchen well stocked. Deer roam through the yard heading from the park behind the house to the beach most evenings!
Some maintenance needs to be done, i.e. electrical plugs and bathroom drains. Also the cleaning staff didn't do a great job as we found dirty socks in a bedroom, and dirty dishes in the cupboard upon our arrival. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Great location!
LOVED the location! Great house up on the north, less inhabited, end of the island. Having the parklands directly behind and the dunes / ocean in front...we saw lots of deer, armadillos and even a sea turtle! Fantastic! I wish there were more beach items available though as it IS a beach rental. We had to buy chairs and beach towels. I'm glad that we drove down as we were able to take these back with us...but it would have made the stay better had it been more appointed with items that vacationers to the island need without having to purchase (or rent) additional things. Knowing this on the next visit - as long as we're driving (from Ohio) I'd rent again. If flying then might choose another place that has more amenities as other homes I've rented have in the past. BUT the location is definitely a wonderful draw!!! And the hammocks under the house were soooooo relaxing to use! :)
