Perfect little cabin, very clean and well decorated. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing! We will definitely book for another stay. The only reason I gave a 4 for value on the money is that EVERYTHING is overpriced these days!
The cabin was so cute and cozy, the views were gorgeous, the location was easy to find with no gps problems! The host was kind and responsive! Would book this again!
Not quite as secluded as we'd hoped for, but a delightful cabin with great amenities. The fireplace is gas (which is a lot less work than a log fire), the hot tub was great, as was the grill on the deck, and we took advantage of all of them. All in all a fabulous place to get away.
The cabin was in a quiet location with wonderful views! The hot tub was very relaxing as well as all of the outdoor seating provided. We also liked that the porch was gated off so that the pups could hang out with us. Inside could use some dusting, good cleaning. There were also a good amount of stink bugs and dirt dobbers. The water also has an egg smell to it. A lot of this is country living, just nice things to know ahead of time. We enjoyed our visit even though we had to leave a day early due to weather. Tammy responded very quickly when we arrived with a plumbing issue which was much appreciated.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your time in the mountains! As you can see from previous reviews, we take great pride in keeping a five star Cabin. I definitely want to address your issues and apologize for any inconvenience. The water smell was definitely not country living. We have pristine well water that people rave about. Unfortunately, there was a clog in the filtration. The weather turned extremely warm a few days before and during your stay. The bugs and bees outside were hatching. I have definitely spoken with the cleaners about the dust so it should never be a problem again. Thanks so much for your feedback and helping us to improve our five star experience for others.
Loved our stay! The cabin was clean and cozy and we enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces/seating areas. Beautiful views The house was well stocked, and the hosts generously set up the fire pit before our arrival with wood free of charge. A very special place, we would love to return.
This property is a slice of heaven. The location is perfect for exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway. It's also very convenient for visiting Ashville. We loved it!
Quiet, very clean and tidy. Perfect for a couple celebrating an anniversary. First long distance trip for our German Shepherd and he enjoyed his stay as well! Thank you for such a nice weekend.
We absolutely loved our peaceful retreat here in the mountains! We actually stayed 2 nights at a hotel in downtown Asheville prior to staying here and I wish we had just spent all of time here instead. It was amazing!!
Tammy is from North Carolina and has directed non-profit youth programs and a local Americorps program for most of her career. Tammy has worked to be a good steward of the land, these mountains and our mother earth: growing her own fruits and vegetables, preserving them for the winter, recycling and composting all garbage, trying to reuse instead of buying new when possible. Efforts are always made to buy local and American made products. After a great deal of planning and hard work, Tammy is excited to invite you for a luxurious, romantic stay in the cabin!
Why they chose this property
Why the Owner Chose Asheville: Tammy planned and renovated this cabin with her own two hands over the last twenty years, while continuing to work full-time. She started the project with the goal of renovating a cabin with a small carbon footprint and utilizing many materials from the mountain. WOW, what a project! With lots and lots of hard work and the loving support of her family the cabin is ready for guests. Why the property? Tammy spent most of her childhood in this area and fell in love with the beauty and majesty of these mountains in the Pisgah National Forest at an early age. When looking to move back to the area and purchase a home in 1991, she would only look at homes in the Candler/Upper Hominy area believing this to be the most beautiful community in the Asheville area. Twenty years ago Tammy began to clear land and landscape the 4-acre property. The project was worth it---she built a mountain oasis beyond belief.
What makes this property unique
The cabin provides all of the modern comforts in a peaceful wooded setting at the base of Mt. Pisgah. The yearround views of the mountain through the large glass windows are spectacular. Couples can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset over the mountain tops. The property is a certified wildlife habitat proving the four basic elements needed for wildlife to thrive: food water, cover and places to raise their young. The wooded canopy of oaks, poplar and maple cover the mountain view during the summer months, and provide cool shade for relaxing outside on the decks, gazebo or in the hammock beside the waterfall. The cabin is positioned so that passive solar assists the heating and cooling.
