Located on a scenic dirt walking road near the Washington town line and the Mayflower Inn and Spa. Furnished with Frette cotton pressed linens, bathrobes, down featherbeds, comforters and pillows and fully furnished with new luxury furnishings, beds, smart tvs, wifi, kitchen equipment, china, silver, and glassware. It is perfect luxury in every way to base your vacation to Litchfield County!

Roxbury & Washington are located in historic, rural Litchfield County, within a scenic 2-hour drive from NYC and is exceptional for its excellent restaurants, spas, antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, farms, historic homes, gardens, vineyards, distilleries, and orchards. The Gilmore Girls creator modeled Stars Hollow, the perfect Connecticut town, after Washington and the Independence Inn after the Mayflower Inn. It is the current or former home to many artists, writers, actors and Wall Street executives – referred to as "more Vermont, than Vermont" and "the un-Hamptons". Nature preserves, Lake Waramaug, and the Shepaug River offer extensive hiking, biking, and water activities. Mohawk and Sundown Ski Areas , Lime Rock Raceway, and Quassy Amusement Park are all a short drive. ExploreWashingtonCT and PoshPadsCT have the best listings of area amenities and event calendars. All of my homes in Washington and Roxbury (PoshPadsCT) are beautifully landscaped with flowering shrubs, flagstone terraces with gas bbq. And heated pools. They are furnisged with Frette pressed cotton sheets, plush towels and bathrobes, down featherbeds, comforters and pillows. Optional maid and catering and massage services are available. All homes have Central heat and AC, WiFi, flat screen televisions with dvds, cable and movie channels, and central alarms.

Moosehorn, Roxbury CT

We had a very nice stay in this house, the grandchildren enjoyed skiing at Mohawk Mountain and all amenities were fairly close by in New Milford or surrounding towns. The house was spacious and comfortable, lots of room for the kids to enjoy spending time together. All in all, a nice family get-together after a very busy Christmas Day!

A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

For anyone looking for an amazing weekend getaway in a home with more than enough room for a group of 10 people, nearby location to beautiful parks and lakes, this is the perfect home. The detail in the quality of Stephen to leave a home for the perfect stay went beyond our expectations. The heated pool was a big plus with enough beach chairs, beach towels for our stay. The house was very clean in every corner of each room through out the house! Great times on the ping pong table and some of the board games the house included! The kitchen is big and perfect size for a group of people to cook together and the dinging table is more than big enough for everyone to sit and have a great time! Nearby were some parks and beautiful lakes about 30 minute drive as well as a Walmart,target and other commercial stores at a 20 minute drive. The communication with Stephen was absolutely perfect as any concerns, questions we had was rapidly replied to by Stephen to make our stay that much better. Overall our stay at this beautiful home was a lifetime experience we will forever cherish and looking forward to future trips in his other homes!

Such a perfect place for our family gathering. Nice kitchen for a group to cook together, lots of comfortable and luxurious bedrooms, BEAUTIFUL area, hiking trails right out the door. We are planning to come again next year. Our host was very nice, helpful and responsive as well!!! I highly recommend this lovely accommodation.

This was a great house for families- tons of space and very clean. Very organized and has everything you would need from wifi, cooking utensil, plenty of towels, etc. The pool is clean and spacious. The owner left the house nicely prepared for us and was communicative through the process.

Nice big home with a beautiful pool. All was clean and prepared on arrival and the host was very communicative. Small thing to note - the twin beds are lofted inside the master suite, so neither of those rooms is private, if that is important to you. Further, the 6th sleeping space, as pictured, is in a game area - worth noting there is no door on that space (it's the upstairs landing). Great area and well maintained property.

Great Location & Property

The house was spacious, clean, modern, and had plenty of room for 10+ people. It's very secluded and away from busy roads. It has a huge dinning table for family meals, and it also has two full sized kitchens. The main reason we booked this home was for the private pool. It was a decent size pool, which we used multiple times throughout the day. There was also 3 or 4 lawn chairs with umbrellas pool-side which was nice. The only issue we had was the propane tank; which is what's used to heat the pool, ran out of gas on the second day. Hopefully next time it's filled before guests arrive, because it really made swimming at night great. Other than that small issue, we had a great time, and the home is beautiful and in a great location. The owner was very nice and responsive to all my questions and concerns. I would gladly return again in the coming months for another trip!

Beautiful Home

A beautiful home in a serene, peaceful setting! This was the perfect place for our group of old friends to relax and reconnect. Plenty of space to find private time and wonderful common areas to congregate. Nearby spa, restaurants, farms and walking trails. Clean and well appointed, our group is looking forward to a return visit and feeling lucky to have had the opportunity to enjoy this Roxbury gem!

I developed and managed boutique design hotels in NYC and CT and remain the managing partner of several.
