This house worked great for our little trip. The kids had a blast fishing off the dock in between games and at night. The house stayed nice and cold on the hot summer days.

Great for a quiet and relaxing family getaway! Clean and comfortable accommodations. Perfect for families with children. I would say that the only caution I would give potential renters is that the dock is down a steep hill from the house, so those with mobility issues may have a challenge getting to the dock. Otherwise highly recommend!

We were looking for a peaceful getaway from life's chaos and that's exactly what we got. The check-in process was incredibly smooth, and the property had everything we needed. A truly 5-star experience. We spent quality family time playing games, watching deer and enjoying the beautiful lake views. There are lots of delicious restaurants around the area. The house is so beautiful, perfect decor touches and very comfortable beds. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Southern Roots Retreat. The home is exactly as described and more. Grandkids loved fishing and swimming. They also loved seeing the ducks and rabbits crossing the backyard. Check in and check out is easy. Our host is very helpful and quick to respond. Very family friendly. Would definitely stay at Southern Roots Retreat again!
