About this property

The South Cottage is one of our 2 rental properties on one large lake-front lot. Both the North & South Cottages can be rented together to sleep up to 12 ppl. We rent the South cottage or the North & South cottages together - we "Do Not" rent the North cottage separately. Located just south of the village of Penn Yan, NY, the North & South cottages are located right on the water on the north-east side of the lake featuring stunning Sunsets! Just down a short private driveway there is a 120 feet of lakefront property with 2 restored cottages to enjoy. Both have their own 36' docks w/mooring whips for boats. Also, each cottage has individual 10'X14' platform decks w/market umbrellas by the water in addition to large front porches with plenty of comfy furniture. Both have 3 bedrooms. North cottage is one level, sleeps 6 comfortably with one full bath (walk-in shower) and the South cottage is a vintage wood 2 story, sleeping up to 6 comfortably with 1-1/2 baths (claw foot tub w/shower) and a screened in porch off the kitchen for dining. Both cottages are on Town Water & Sewer (so you can drink the water!)

Anniversary getaway

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. House was very clean and well stocked. The view was amazing!! Perfect location. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic waterfront property

Fantastic stay using both cottages for a week! The area in front of the cottages was great for us to gather each night. The location is near town, wineries and many of the local markets.

Cute cottage

The cottage was very cute and exactly what we were looking for although not having any bedroom doors came as a surprise. The house was very well furnished with everything we needed, including all the water toys we could have wanted. These folks clearly go above and beyond as hosts and we can’t say enough good things about the charming home and usable property. The only downside came on the second day of the rental when we had some aunts, uncles, and cousins come over for a swim (our large family was in town for a reunion but everyone had their own cottages). The neighbors alerted the hosts, but instead of the hosts asking us about the situation, we got an angry phone call demanding that our family leave immediately. We tried to explain that it was just our family visiting us for a few hours in the afternoon and clearly nobody would be staying over. Ultimately we complied and they left, but it put a damper on the trip for us. We treated the home with the utmost care and respect, and would have loved to rent again next year but the incident left us feeling pretty uncomfortable.

Exactly as described

It is hard to find a property with only a couple of steps inside and/or outside for less mobile, elderly people. This property was perfect for our age range of 15-87. Lovely waterfont, well equipped, great owners and good parking (hard to find the latter on Keuka). We all enjoyed our family time, and the more mobile members swam, kayaked, canoed and paddle boarded - all amenties that were included. Thanks to Tracy, Kim and Walter!

We rented the cottages for 14+ years before the opportunity to purchase them came our way. We were married and simply, love it here!

Walter is a commercial advertising photographer and Kim is a professional stylist.

We have rented here for 14 years and married here in 2015. It is located in the middle of a strip of about 15-20 properties that are all year-round owner occupied so we are in a quiet residential area NO OTHER Lake Rentals anywhere close for your privacy. We ask that you respect the neighbors privacy as well. Thank you!

What makes this property unique

Down a private drive with 120 feet of lakefront. Beautiful sunsets, swimming & relaxation. Also, as stated above, a private area with respect to any nearby neighbors. Panoramic views of the water! 120 degree ultra-wide view of the lake!!
