We came for the Scallops! this was such a great location for us. so close to so many of the dining and drinking establishments. Most importantly, the private boat ramp was 4 houses away and never had anyone else at it. this worked out extremely well and we look forward to coming back.

We will stay here again.

Property was well kept, very clean and comfortable. It is close enough to conveniences yet far enough to be peaceful. The "Upper Deck' was very nice to relax on over looking the water. Use of the kayaks was a plus.

The best house with the best location

The house was wonderful and great decorations, my boys loved running around discovering each room! We loved the kayaks and it was close to everything we were planning on doing!

Fun spot!

The Upper Deck was just as described. The hostess was very attentive. The location s great because it is feet away from the Homosassa River, a short drive to fun restaurants and the wildlife preserve. The free kayaks and paddleboards were wonderful bonus!

Perfect stay in Homosassa

I cannot say enough about our stay. I loved being able to text directly with the owner and she was so responsive. I am not too familiar with VRBO or other rental places. She was so kind and answered my text messages immediately. she provided great recommendations for food and entertainment and really made herself available.

A fun place to be!

From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew it was going to be a great place. Filled with a nautical and beach theme throughout, we appreciated every detail the owners put into it. We all had a fantastic stay at the Upper Deck! Without reservation, we recommend staying here. All the comforts of home, close proximity to restaurants, stores, bars, and the river, you’d be hard pressed to find a better location and property! The host thought about everything to make sure they stay was amazing! Instructions and referrals are left for families to have the best time and see as many things as possible during your stay. Great place to scallop!

Absolutely great place to scallop! Location was awesome and convenient. The boat ramp is a bit tight. If you go with just two people both need to know how to launch the boat and get the truck and trailer back. The neighborhood is tight so be accurate. The owners were amazing and checked in with us prior and post stay. Will definitely go back!

Awesome customer service!

Nadeen was the best host I have ever dealt with. We called with a question about life jackets and she answered several other questions for us and sent pictures of the ramp and how to get to monkey island. House was well stocked with paper products and kitchen items. We were only ther for 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Definitely a Change of Scenery

The house is highly decorated with the whole beach theme and reinforces that you are somewhere else. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped for meal preparation. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms very nice. The sitting area furniture was in the theme and fine for short sits.My granddaughter played with us in the yard a fair amount and we took kayaks to the launch spot not more than 100 yards away. The kayak cart made that pretty easy. The launch point is surfaced with stones, but entry/exit from the water was easy. The water near the launch spot is also well-protected and should usually be calm.Nadeene checked in before and at the end of the rental to make sure everything was OK. She seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we had a great time.

Disappointing with descriptions

Place was listed with boat ramp, but there was no dock or place to tie your boat up when using the ramp, and it could use some work. Also, description said you could keep your boat in the cove nearby, and it had rocks, and was mucky. So, it turned out unusable for us.

As mentioned prior to your arrival on the phone when we spoke, the cove is not for everyone. There is no dock or seawall that can be used and therefore you must jump on and off your boat. The picture we sent you showed how close the cove is to the home and how convenient it is, but again, it's not for everyone. Our private boat ramp is enjoyed by all who use it because the only other options are public ramps that you pay for and wait in long lines to use. It is a launch-and-go ramp. We always try to give total clarity to all so they know what to expect. So sorry the cove and ramp were not to your liking."

Exceptional Amenities at the "no amenity" price!!!!!

We had 4 days free at the first of our holiday and always wanted to explore this part of Florida. Boy are we glad we stumbled upon the Upper Deck!!! The kitschy, nautical theme fits with the community & the place lacks for absolutely nothing. I have stayed in VRBO properties all over the world and have never had so many amenities provided from the fully stocked cupboards to the plethora of water-sport activities (kayaks, paddle-boards, rafts, coolers, bug spray). We took full advantage of the water sport activities and had some awesome Manatee encounters - magnificent creatures and they were everywhere!!! The upstairs deck was a great place to wind down in front of the fire every night and provides beautiful views. Nadeene was the consummate host, always quick to answer texts/emails, and gave great advice when asked. If we ever come back, this will be the first place we look!!

AMAZING!!!

This property and host was one of the best rentals of all time! The house is gorgeous and full of anything you could need from shampoo and conditioner, to kayaks and paddle boards. Swimming with manatees was just the icing on the cake! My family and I will 100% be back!!!

Family vacation

Our stay was awesome. The property was very clean and relaxing. Nadeene was very accommodating to making sure you had everything you needed. We came to scallop and the boat ramp was a plus. Being so close to the springs made in nice to take the grandkids for a swim. Would 100% recommend this place and would stay again. Thanks for making our family vacation wonderful 🚤🐬🦀🐫🧜‍♀️
