This is a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a converted cedar barn.Decorated in farmhouse decor, it has 2 queen bedrooms, 1 full bath, a living room and a kitchen. There are front and back private entrances and a large covered patio. Located at Honey Farm Rentals, the grounds are large, peaceful and appealing. The neighborhood is quiet, relaxing and safe. Our farm is small but we do have animals, beehives and a pasture. Pets are only allowed upon approval by owner, since there are a variety of other animals and people on the property.

Relaxing surroundings

The property is wonderful for enjoying relaxing times. The host was friendly and accommodating. My husband and I enjoyed having some moments with the donkey and goats, as well as the owner’s adorable dog. The configuration of the rooms isn’t really the best; you need to go through the bathroom to get from one room to the other.

My husband Tom and I are retired and spend most of our time at home, tending to whatever needs tending. Everyone has plenty of privacy since our property is spacious, yet since we are usually on the premises, we can quickly address any guest's needs.

We're originally from the West Virginia coalfields but have made our home in Katy since 1981. We love to be at home, working on projects, but we also love to travel. We have two children and five grandchildren that we love to visit.

Why they chose this property

We wanted the convenience of city life but with a bit of country privacy and greenery. Even though we are within the old town city limits of Katy, we are secluded and unseen. Our property is the best kept secret in Katy. We operated a bed and breakfast called Honey Farm Bed and Breakfast for nine years, But since we are getting older, we decided to change our model to short term rentals, hence, we became Honey Farm Rentals.

What makes this property unique

We have a small bee farm and usually a variety of smaller farm animals. So watch your step....seriously, watch your step, lol.
