Super comfortable and clean rental! We loved the location and the yard for our dog. We will definitely stay here whenever we come down to see family in the future! We loved being able to walk the Hammond Trail right from the backyard.

Immaculately Clean!
This was the first time we rented through Vacasa, and we were thoroughly impressed with the property. It was immaculately clean, fully furnished, and extremely comfortable! We’d absolutely stay again—no hesitation!
We enjoyed the close proximity to the highway, beaches, grocery stores and restaurants from this property. It was a very quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed the beautiful backyard where our dog enjoyed running and playing. We sat out on the patio every morning for coffee. There is a gate that leads to a trail right out the back yard for walks, or biking. We had plans in both Trinidad and Arcata and this location in McKinleyville was perfect to get to both locations with ease. The kitchen was well equipped and the homes decor is beautiful. The overall layout of the house makes it feel very roomy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Our dog loved the treats that were so thoroughly left for him.
This house is terrific. While we didn’t get to use the outdoor amenities due to the season and rain, but this place would be amazing in better weather. The back yard backs up to the Hammond Trail, with miles and miles of trail to walk, run or bike. There’s a beach about a mile and a half walk on Hammond over the Mad River that is dog friendly as well. Inside the updated amenities and well stocked kitchen made for a terrific location for the holiday with our family. Beds are comfortable, and the living room is cozy but not small. Garage access made the rain less intrusive, tho (and i completely understand why it’s not there) a remote opener would be nice. Even an external keypad maybe? Tho still a security concern for the owners. I don’t know a good answer for that but it still is a huge benefit in inclement weather to have access.
