The Empty Nest-Cassopolis 3-bedroom home by Diamond Lake & 35min from Notre Dame

The Empty Nest hosts guests who need some R&R, are in town for an event, or just need a change of scenery. We are 35 minutes from Notre Dame, 45 minutes to St. Joseph MI & Warren Dunes, near a few great wedding venues, and 20 minutes from Swiss Valley Ski Resort.

The house is near Diamond Lake, Stone Lake, and many more all sport lakes/fishing lakes, snowmobile trails, wedding venues, and small town shops & restaurants. There are a few county parks near and a Casino within 15 minutes driving distance for extra entertainment!

All 3 bedrooms are upstairs. The master has a king bed and an ensuite. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, and bedroom 3 has a full bed. There is a second full bathroom for bedroom 2 and 3 to share.

The main level offers a half bath, open concept living room, dining area, and fully stocked kitchen with a drip coffee maker. There is a washer and dryer, so bring your laundry items if you are going to be there for an extended stay. From the dining room you can step out onto the outside deck where you will find a peaceful back yard, outdoor seating area, and a propane grill to use during your stay. If you look beyond the fence you will see the fire pit and chairs to enjoy. (Wood is not provided).

**the basement and garage is used for owners personal items, so it is not available for guest's use.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Please set the heat to a high of 68 degrees (in colder months) and the air conditioning to a low of 70 degrees (in warmer months)

Please make sure all dishes are washed and put away.

Please leave the property as you found it and try to avoid moving any furniture or household items - if items are moved, please put them back before check out.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

* A $25 fee is charged for every 30 min. guests are late checking out. Extra fees will be charged if house is extraordinarily dirty after checkout.

* All guests present at the house should be on the reservation. Any unauthorized guests will result in a 75.00 charge per guest per day.

No smoking, partying, drinking, fireworks, or drugs on the premises. Guests can/will be removed from the premises with no refund.

The house was exactly as advertised, and we had a wonderful stay. Most importantly the hosts were extremely communicative. They were very kind and letting us know that it was clean and ready for an early check-in. They also offered us a late checkout without us, even having to ask.

The home was very comfortable and clean. The back deck was lovely for breakfast, the flower gardens were much appreciated. The home is close enough to town to walk. My niece and I stayed there while in the area for a family members birthday. Short drive to Dowagiac, which has lovely historic buildings, shops, a few restaurants and seems to be thriving.

I enjoy hosting for individuals and families/friends so they have a clean and relaxing environment with space to enjoy the outside. My husband and I tend to enjoy the quietness of the back deck and the sunrises on the front deck. We are always so busy, it is nice to just slow down at The Empty Nest :)

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood has many families of all ages, but all neighbors are respectful and kind. It is quiet and only a drive away from Mishawaka, South Bend, and Three Rivers.

What makes this property unique

One of the many things I love about the Empty Nest, is the quiet coffee/breakfast moments on the back deck. There are times a few deer can be seen in the area near the tree line. It is a moment to slow down and enjoy calm peace.
