Incredible waterfront escape. Quaint cottage a few dozen feet from the water's no bank beach. Watch the boat traffic, State ferries, wildlife or the occasional whale. Enjoy the front porch watching the sunrise or sunsets.

Less than 5 min walk to historic Manette where you will find restaurants, shopping & entertainment.

Cozy one bedroom cottage fully furnished with amenities to enjoy your stay.

Bring your walking shoes, bicycles, kayaks or paddle boards and enjoy paddling over to the Bremerton Marina or the Boat Shed restaurant is just around the corner and has a dock to tie up and enjoy lunch or dinner on their huge deck. During the season, bring fishing poles.

Neighborhood overview: One way street with many waterfront homes. Parking area on the street for guests. In less than 5 minutes, walk to downtown Manette and get a pastry at Saboteur bakery or Larry and Kristies. . Have lunch or a beer at the Manette Saloon. Take a stroll through the Manette Antiques. Enjoy a wonderful dinner at one of the highly recommended restaurants such as Boat Shed, La Fermata (Italian) or the Hound and Bottle. Walk across the Manette Bridge over to Evergreen Park and try and find the "face" made of concrete near the boat ramp. The park features seasonal Farmers markets to enjoy the local vendors.
Getting around
Kitsap Transit Bus is 1 block away. Washington State Ferries and Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry to Seattle is 5 minutes away (20 min walk); Kitsap Transit ferry to Port Orchard is also 5 minutes away.

I've stayed in a number of rental houses when I've visited the PNW. This one is, by far, the best. The house is cozy, clean, comfortable, and the view...Let's just say that it didn't matter that it was too cold and wet to spend a lot of time outside. You could simply sit by the large living room window and gaze at the passing ferries, the huge variety of birds, the whales, the seals, and simply be. We were visiting family, and basically needed a place to sleep, but we found ourselves spending hours over our morning coffee watching the view. One of my favorite things about the house is how quiet it is. The neighbors are close, but there was no noise, and our nights were completely undisturbed. The hosts seem to have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. This was a truly blissful vacation and I hope to be able to visit again.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway!

This property has amazing views, lots of activity to watch on the water, but also quiet and relaxing. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. We've stayed at lots of VRBO rentals, but none with this great ambiance and chill vibe. We already sent a request for our next stay. Thank you, Dawn, for being such a great host!

That was the cutest little cozy place I have ever stayed in. The bed was even comfortably. We sat in the porch and watched boats go by, lots of seals playing, beautiful moon lit water, and it was all quiet except for the amazing slapping of the water, seal noses and migrating ducks and sea birds. I was in classes all day and my husband stayed in the cottage and worked from there during the day. At night, we ate every meal at The Boat Shed that’s within walking distance. The food was amazing at the shed and we had the halibut, the most amazing clam chowder and bread pudding almost every night!!!! We went to a few other sea food places, but this was by far the very, very best. What a relaxing retreat!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. It was very clean and a beautiful view. we enjoyed ourselves immensely. the ferry to Seattle is 5 minute drive from the house. We walked to the Boat Shed and had a yummy dinner on the deck. Dawn was very kind and helpful. If we're ever in the area we'll definitely stay again.

The cottage is super cute and the location is absolutely phenomenal. I am so glad I rented this place away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. The town of Bremerton around this rental is very nice and quiet. There are quite a few places to eat nearby (within walking distance) and the ferry terminal is also walkable albeit a long walk but you will get to walk on the gorgeous Manette Bridge and across the bridge there is plenty more to do. The rental is well stocked and has all the amenities you may need for your stay. Was really happy with my stay.

Upon entering the house, I was in love. This is an older cottage that has so much character. I do not think the pictures do it justice. I could sit on the couch and stare out of the window all day long watching the boats, ferries, and wildlife. This is a place where you can relax and unwind or play with your 6 month old granddaughter til you drop. They have everything you could possibly want or need at this cottage; grill, fire pit, patio, porch, washer/dryer. There were many condiments so you don't have to buy everything when you arrive. I do believe this is going to be my new favorite place to stay when visiting my daughter and her family in Bremerton.

Great stay at the bayside cottage

We stayed here for two weeks waiting for our grandson to be born, as my son lives about two miles away. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Will rent again next time we visit.

Incredible views and proximity to the water!

The pictures of Grandma's Cottage accurately portray the setting, the view, and interior. Everything a person could need or want is provided. I am so grateful to Dawn and Einar for installing a portable AC unit in anticipation of unseasonably hot weather. This was the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. I hope to return to Grandma's Cottage the next time I'm in Kitsap County.

Gram’s was more than I imagined...

Loved, loved, loved the cottage. We never met, but Dawn was quick to respond to any question i had. Not having brought my car, i walked everywhere. Unfortunately the bakeries were too close. :) There is nothing i needed that i did not find in the cottage. Some rentals like to keep saying “we are fully stocked” when they are not. Gram’s may be small but it is/was “fully stocked”! Felt at peace as i looked at the water where there was life of all kinds minding its own business as it passed by. It being January, the porch was a delight when the sun was out. I will remember to bring my binoculars when i do return. Thanks Dawn.
