Honest review - one week stay
First of all, this is not oceanfront, as the name implies. It is a 5-10 minute walk down a hill past construction to the beach club, which is at the beach. That being said, there is a large, lovely pool just downstairs and we didn't even go down to the beach club every day. There are ocean views from the balcony, but it is a good distance away. We were able to see whales with binoculars. The condo was nice, very clean and had dishes, pots, pans, appliances, etc. It was perfect for our 2 families. However, when we ran the washing machine it dumped all the water on the floor which took us all morning to mop up. I notified the property owner, who sent someone over, but it was not fixed during our stay. We also tried to use the dishwasher which also dumped water all over the floor, and was also not fixed or useable during our stay. The property owner responded quickly to my texts, but I'm not sure what was wrong with the machines and I hope they are working for the next guests. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay. It is walking distance to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and a cheap Uber ride anywhere. We took day trips to Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, and explored the La Cruz area. Please note, there are no banks or grocery stores in La Cruz and the closest place with these amenities is Bucerias (which we ubered to and from). Also, be sure to check out the La Cruz Market at the Marina on Sundays and go get tacos from Tacos Junior!
