I strongly advise future renters to exercise extreme caution if informed that their original booking is unavailable due to repairs or maintenance and an alternative property is offered. Unfortunately, I accepted such a change.Approximately 24 hours before my arrival, I was notified that the original property I reserved was no longer available due to unforeseen repairs. Given the short notice — and being unfamiliar with the area, as I had never visited before — I felt I had little practical choice but to accept the alternative property presented.Upon arrival, it became immediately apparent that the replacement property was not comparable to the home I originally booked. The exterior areas contained visible trash in the side and backyard spaces, including garbage around receptacles.Inside, the condition of the property raised significant concerns:Damaged walls throughout the homeMildew present in multiple showersStains on the kitchen ceilingA heavily soiled air ventCracked paint and mildew on the hallway bathroom ceilingA brown, slimy shower liner emitting a strong mildew odorA toilet that was unsecured and shifted during useA medicine cabinet pulling away from the wall when openedA dead roach in the master bathroom between the shower threshold and vanityAnother dead roach in the master bedroomWorn and poorly cleaned shower floorsChipped and separating living room tile along the wall trimA broken window blind in the living roomCloset doors that would not close
