We had a great girl's trip for my Mother's birthday. The house was in a great location. Driveway was an adventure. Some of the hot tub jets didn't work, but other than that we have no complaints.
Appreciated the extras for the dogs (basket of pet towels and waste bags at the front door). Had an issue with one of the thermostats and it was addressed quickly. Other suggestions I made were graciously accepted. House is within walking distance to many places if you can handle the steep driveway.
Had a small problem with TV in living room( user error). Someone came out first thing to assist. That person also text us a few times to asked if we needed anything. If anyone has a chance to stay here they need to. It is very close to everything but if you have mobility issues the driveway is very steep but let us know beforehand. Will stay again
It was our 1st time in Helen, GA. We enjoyed ourselves in and out of the cabin. All amenities were in good working order. We plan on returning to Helen. Several improvements I noted in the master bedroom were: 1) bed sheets did not smell clean. I smelled urine on my side of the bed. I did notice no matress cover. When I lifted the sheets, I noticed an old urine spot by my side of the bed, 2) the shower curtain appeared soiled, and 3) the shower knob had mold/ mildew. The complimentary bottle of wine at the entrance was a nice touch though.
Great communication with the host! Perfect location and my 3 boys (12 & 10) loved everything about the cabin. The “man cave” as they called it was a hit! Beds are comfy, clean, enough staples for a week for our family of 5. Very peaceful for in the middle of everything. The only caution I would give anyone is that if you plan on walking to and from the cabin being in good physical condition is important. I do not think older, less physically capable individuals should book unless you plan on driving everywhere. We walked every day and loved the central location to everything, but all of us were winded when we arrived back at the cabin after trekking up the hill.
