About this property

Lakeshore Cottage with Sandy Beach on Arrow Lake

Our property provides the athmosphere of a private secluded summer residence with beach. The cabin is in its private little orchard overlooking our lake front pasture and our private bay with beach. The location is has a beautiful deck where you can enjoy the sunset over the mountains.
The comfortable cottage has 920 sqft of very liveable space. It is popular with families and couples alike and fits nicely into its natural environment. It features the living area with sofa and sofa bed and a wood stove. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a bathroom with tub/shower, a bedroom with a hand crafted queen size bed and a second smaller bedroom with a twin bunk bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size stove and oven, side by side fridge, dishwasher and microwave and washer plus dryer.
Enjoy the beautiful views from your deck over the pasture, beach and bay. Take a few steps off the deck to a short path that leads you down through the pasture to the beach. Across the lake there is an island to explore and within a short hike also a waterfall. The property is a total of 100 acres and offers private trails. Watch the Ospreys and Bald Eagles fish in our bay. There is always lots of wildlife around. Have fun!



Dogs:
Well behaved dogs that stay on the ground (not on sofas, beds etc.) are very welcome and if they do not run after wildlife or farm animals can be kept without a leash. There is so much room to run around for dogs and with our rock bluff to the north and a meshed fence to the south it is quite safe. Our resident dog Schoko is very friendly.

We enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful location of this property. The dock, kayaks, canoes are great amenities to enjoy. The property was well cared for and clean. It has a cozy, rustic 90s vibe. Location is a bit far out from groceries/town so make sure you packed what you need for your stay.

Beautiful property - small fenced yard with fruit trees and an incredible view of the lake. Kind and generous hosts. 45 minute drive to grocery store - which is fine, if you prepare properly. Would definitely stay again.

Very beautiful property. It was so quiet and peaceful. The beach was lovely, although we didn’t go when it was warm enough to swim. I suspect it’s nice for swimming as well. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for tranquility. Definitely stock up on groceries before you go.

Really beautiful spot!

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and the beds comfortable. The access to the lake was outstanding and the area is just beautiful. The trip down the driveway to the cabin is just incredible. We loved the visits from the host’s lab, such a sweet girl, and the beach access was incredible. The lake was nice and warm for swimming or playing fetch with the dogs.

This was our third stay here and was just as wonderful as the first. The property is practical, thoughtfully maintained, and has everything a family needs for a comfortable getaway. Perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet and nature. Watercraft are available for use, and the lake is just a short walk through a wildflower meadow. The beach is private only to guests staying at the two properties on site. The lake is a reservoir, so water levels vary, but it’s always swimmable regardless of water level. We’re so grateful to have found this special place, truly a paradise.

Excellent Property for our Mini-moon

We decided to stay for a few nights after our wedding at this peaceful and relaxing property. We had a fabulous stay with our dog, relaxing and spending time on the beach and in/on the lake. Peaceful fun get away

We loved the clean well appointed cabin. We were 4 adults and 2 dogs yet felt like there was lots of room. Sabine is wonderful, very attentive to our need but she maintained our privacy....even dropped us of fresh veggies from her garden. We loved it there!!!!and the very freindly chocolate lab was an added bonus!!

Beautiful Rural Getaway

We enjoyed this property so much, it's one of the best we've ever stayed at. The views from the balcony overlooking the property and Arrow Lake were mesmerizing. Very comfortable clean cottage and a good kitchen to work in (bring your groceries!) The owner's horses in the pasture and their enthusiastic chocolate lab retriever were entertaining and only added to the rural atmosphere. Thank you!

Next to Eden, before the Fall......

Clean, well equipped cottage/home. Ideal for a couple or a couple with 2 young children. Water is clean and bottom sandy. Beach is long, sandy and very accessible, views are excellent, dark sky at night makes for fantastic viewing of stars. Owner ready to help in any way. This is a place for quiet, nature and it's beauties. Best holiday we have had in a very long time.

Hi, my name is Sabine and I love to share our property with guests. It is just my husband Ulf and myself sharing our property with our guests and we usually do not see each other aside from on the beach.

Why they chose this property

Our family fell in love with the Kootenays and our property in 1990. It was the location, climate, the beach and lake, the long summer seasons the clear water, fishing and space that we loved. We raised our kids on the property and since they have left to other parts of the world like to share the beauty of the place.
