The Experience
Bear Paw Patio Retreat combines PatioLife and Can't Bear to Leave for a large-group stay in the Kiamichi Mountains near Hochatown where comfort, entertainment, and forest scenery all come together. Nature & Environment
One of the most memorable parts of staying in a Broken Bow cabin is being surrounded by nature. Because this property is located in a wooded setting, guests may encounter wildlife and seasonal elements during your stay.

Deer, squirrels, raccoons, turkeys, and other native wildlife are commonly seen throughout the area. The cabin is professionally treated for pests, though occasional insects such as spiders, mosquitoes, beetles, ladybugs, or wasps may still appear, particularly during seasonal transitions or rain.

During spring months, pollen from surrounding pine trees may collect on outdoor surfaces despite cleaning efforts before arrival.

Keeping doors and screens closed whenever possible helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment throughout your stay.

We encourage guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while remaining respectful of neighboring cabins and the natural environment. Sound travels easily throughout the forested area.

What To Bring
We recommend bringing groceries, condiments, cooking oils and seasonings, personal toiletries, coffee and creamers, bug spray for mosquitoes and ticks, ice, and firewood with fire starters for the outdoor firepit.

These items are intended to get your stay started and are not restocked.

Lots of space for all of our family. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and the kitchen was well stocked. However, both master bedrooms did not have a closet and the whole place just needs some attention. The QR code for check out didn’t work, so we didn’t know what we were expected to do. Cell service was poor and everyone had an hard time finding the place. Communication with Craig was sometimes difficult. Don’t message him after 5:00 pm. Overall we had a great time and it was a beautiful place for a wedding.
