Beautiful location and great deal!
Absolutely stunning location right on the water! Great place to stay with easy access to both the north and south sides of the island and convenient to the airport and Wailua River. Would highly recommend and we hope to stay there again some day.
Michael, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate!!
Beautiful Ocean Front! Everything You Need for a Great Vacation!
Just love this unit! This is our 3rd time in this island, we hope we can stay at this condo again next time. The instructions from owners are very clear and easy to follow. They provide way more stuff for people to use, very convenient. We love to see sun rise every morning from balcony. The whole resort is in great location, with easy access to every part of the island, with reasonable distance. We strongly recommend future vacationers, do not miss the million dollar view at very reasonable rent.
Yong, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate! We appreciate the feedback and would be honored to host again in the future.
A million dollar view.
The price was right.
Thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate, Steven!! Much appreciated.
Excellent room with amazing views
My wife and I have been to several Islander on the Beach units over the years. This is the second unit we rented directly from the owners, and it was just as great as the other one. The ceiling fan is a nice addition when the AC isn't really needed. We did have some issues with people smoking on their lanai, and on the grass right out in front of the unit. But we called the front desk, and security took care of the issue right away. I really wish that there were more "No Smoking" signs around the property units so that no one has to be bothered (smokers as well). We are already planning a return trip! The location can't be beat. Snorkeling just yards away, and stores just a short walk through the parking lot. It's central location makes this property preferred.
Joe, thank you for submitting the review. KrellersGetaway appreciates it very much and we are honored to accommodate. As you know, the complex, Hawaii, and KrellersGetaway strictly prohibit smoking in or near the buildings, so you did the right thing by calling security. Appreciate that and mahalo nui!
The picture is very accurate of what you will see right from your balcony. The room was a nice size with the ability to have small meals. The area is peaceful and quiet, with a nice breeze. The mattress could be replaced and I'm not sure if all the grounds are nonsmoking, but a couple of people were smoking out on their balcony and we could smell it (only happened a few times toward the end of our stay). Brad was very pleasant and communication was easy and prompt.
Randee, thank you for the review and glad you enjoyed yourselves! Absolutely no smoking in or around the buildings/rooms, including lanai. If you do come back and stay through KrellersGetaway again, please contact us immediately if you smell smoke, as we don't put up with it and neither does our complex. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. KrellersGetaway appreciates you allowing us to accommodate!
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.

IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Check out http://www.coconutcoasters.com/. Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
