This unit was renovated by an HGTV interior designer and is virtually identical to another unit that was featured on the HGTV show House Hunters that aired in November 2013. Unit 109 offers the most luxurious accommodations for the best value. Unobstructed ocean view, convenient location & updated renovation make this Wailua Bay View condo the best choice for your Kauai vacation! Furnishings, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, hardwood floors (driftwood beach finish), appliances, Caesar stone (quartz material counters), under cabinet lighting, glass back splashes, solar shades, new front and slider doors, smooth finish walls, and a new air conditioner. Over $100,000 spent on the renovation in 2013! Enjoy the soothing sound of the surf, the panoramic ocean & coastline view and gorgeous Hawaiian sun & moon rises! This ground floor unit is perfectly situated within the complex close to the swimming pool & BBQ area. Wailua Bay View is in the heart of Kauai's Coconut Coast. Restaurants, shopping & golf are just a short stroll or a few minutes away.
In addition, Unit 109 is the closest to the ocean of any unit at Wailua Bay View and therefore has the best views. Excellent views, cleanliness, directions, check-in, everything! They had extra fans to move around as needed which was helpful! I would definitely stay here again! I wanted a waterfront property with a lanai and thats exactly what I got! Lanai was 100% private so you couldn't see neighbors! Perfect!

Amazing View! Luke was a great host and responded extremely fast! Waking up to the waves of Wailua Bay directly out the lanai has been amazing. Super close to Waipouli Beach to catch sunrise and walk on the beach. Also, fresh Malasadas right across the street! really close to the Nounou east trailhead. For our stay Wailua bay was pretty rough, so for swimming we went to Kealia (4x4 required to park at the end of the beach)

This place exceeded our expectations. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions that I had before we arrived. When we do back to Kauai in a few years I will want to stay here again. It was so easy to get to either end of the island from this location.

The bedding from the previous people was still on, hair and crumbs in the bed, shower had an uncomfortable amount of hair left in the floor, there were a decent amount of ants inside and around the property, fridge still had drinks from previous people (not necessarily complaining, but helped confirm that it had not been cleaned). But considering it’s Hawai’i, the price wasn’t bad for what we got, even though it was not cleaned

Nice East side location. Very nice views. While its not far from the main road, you don't hear traffic over the ocean. Close to nice walking path along the ocean. Washer & dryer in the unit. The minor downsides are that its showing its age and the AC in the bedroom is a window AC style unit that is pretty loud. Overall a very good bang for the buck location- especially with the view.

We chose the property largely because of the amazing view, and it did not disappoint. Watching and hearing the waves crashing was perfect! Loved having in unit washer and dryer! The bedroom has AC which was great for sleeping! Despite opening windows and the lanai door, it did get pretty warm throughout the rest of the unit. We didn’t spend much time on the property though so this wasn’t a huge deal for us. The location was great. We loved being between North and South shores, close to Coconut Marketplace, Lava Lava Beach Club (food was fine but loved the vibe and views), and the airport. As a few other reviews have mentioned, the unit is showing some wear and tear but it was clean, comfortable, and we didn’t have any issues. If we get the chance to return to Kauai, we’d definitely consider staying at this property again! Included picture was taken from the lanai - no zoom, no filters, no editing.

Loved the location, great view, easy to get around even without a car, very walkable neighborhood. Of course a car is great when you want to see more of the island. Condo was clean and bright had everything you would need. Hope to visit again sometime soon.

There’s a lot to like about this place:The location was perfect — it was great for driving everywhere on the island, and having a parking lot was really nice.The open windows with fresh air and a great view are hard to beat. The host was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. One of the best restaurants on the island is basically across the street (Naisla Kitchen & Cocktail), as well as a nice coffee shop within walking distance.

Check in was so easy thanks to our host providing great instructions. The condo was nicely decorated, everything we could need was provided, the A.C. in the bedroom was perfect for sleeping, and the view amazing. The condo is comfortable and perfect for a couple. The location is great if your planning on going out and exploring the rest of the island is pretty well settled central to excursions and shopping and hiking.

The Unit hs stunning view! Easy access to evrything and allmost all popular beach , trails , waterfalls , water activities etc. They have beach chairs , snorekell gears and evrything you need for a relaxing , peaceful vacation. We loved the unit so much. Felt recharged during our stay. Giving a 5 star and recommending to everyone.

Growing up in Canada, my family visited Hawaii every winter. My husband and I are fortunate to now live on the island of Oahu. Kauai is just a short trip for us and is our favorite of the Hawaiian islands to visit. We love the slower pace and opportunity to vacation close to home. We enjoy relaxing at the beach as well as hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling and surfing. No wonder we love Kauai as it is a perfect island for outdoor activities and water sports.

Why they chose this property

The view is absolutely amazing. We love being right on the ocean. Kauai has been our favorite vacation destination for many years.

What makes this property unique

The location is ideal being only 10 minutes from the airport and central to exploring the island both to the north and south. Wailua Bay View is close to shops and restaurants, yet quiet and peaceful. We really enjoy the walking distance to the protected beach cove for little ones and nearby Lydgate Park.
