Wonderful oceanfront condo, centrally located

Condo was 100%as advertised, we watched whales, green turtles, and surfers from the lanei.It is located about in the center of the drivable portion of the island, everything can be explored within 90 minute drive.Several beach access points are within a short walk.

Overall, property was accurately depicted, clean and well located. The property grounds were nicely maintained and the location was very central.As noted in the property description, the air conditioning is in the bedroom only, so the living room was quite warm even with all windows open and the fans were running. Just something to be aware of.The host did not respond to some questions I posted the few days leading up to the trip, which was a bit disappointing.

We had a great time staying here! The location was very central and even walkable to nearby restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again! Also getting to watch the sunrise on the ocean was a huge bonus!

Delightful seafront getaway

This condo is right on the ocean, with a stunning view. The unit is well equipped, including with beach chairs etc. for day trips around this beautiful island.

Fabulous Ocean View

The wonderful ocean view greet us as we opened the door. There is a lovely landscaped pool just steps away. Just a short walk gets you down to the beach . The sound of the waves was so relaxing. We did have some trouble with the wifi and Luke responded right away, but it took some time. Location was great. Definitely would stay here again.

Location, Location, Location

This condo unit is right above the beach and overlooks Wailua Bay Beach. We could watch surfers, swimmers and fishermen right from our lanai. We saw whales only twice; a long distance away; but also saw a large pod of dolphins right in front. The location is an easy drive to anywhere else on the island.

Sitting on lanai watching the surfer's and sail boarders was nice. Many restaurants In the area. Bakery across the street and a brewery across the next street with live music every evening. A couple of minor issues came up but was corrected.

Amazing, wonderful Kauai location

We visited Kauai about 15 years ago, and returning we didn't look anywhere other than Wailua Bay View. We can't imagine a better spot on the island to stay. Views from the lanai are marvelous -- surfers during the day, stars at night. And a very central location on the east side. Unit 109 is gorgeous -- everything just right from the comfy bed to the well-equipped kitchen to the nice touch of beach bag, cooler, beach mats, boogie boards and snorkel equipment. Despite the first floor location, the unit is up above the beach on a ledge. A few steps get you down to the beach for walking. You'll love this place!

A hidden gem. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

If quiet relaxation is what your looking for this is a good placd to find it. The condo is small and quaint with all the simple comfort items you need to relax and unwind. It was small but perfect for the two of us. The bed was so comfortable. The view was amazing. It is not a big resort type property... no daily maids, you take out your trash and do the laundry but we toured other properties and preferred this setting over the others we visited. We loved that the pool area was right outside our front door and it was us and only a few others who enjoyed it everyday. Mark the property manager was always busy keeping everything looking beautifully. He was a good resource and always availabe to offer great island advise. We completely enjoyed our week here and did not want to leave. Hopefully someday we will get to return.

Central Location & Amazing views

Luke's condo is immaculate. No detail was left out. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, storageware, cutlery and even small appliances like a toaster, blender, electric kettle, and kurig machine. The open floor plan is very inviting and allows for conversations and beautiful views as you are in the kitchen and living area. The bed is very comfortable and the AC is great to have in the bedroom for cool sleeping. Open all of the windows and you get a great breeze through the entire place. 2 body boards, 2 sets of snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach towels, multiple coolers and ice packs are all included so you can hit the beaches in no time and no rentals needed. Ocean waves can be heard throughout the condo. The pool is just steps away from the front door. The complex was very quite, even as the complex exterior was being painted during the day. Luke even made a special call well in advance to inform us of the painters. The condo is centrally located on the Island so you can coordinate day trips to the North Shore or to the South and West sides. We will be back to Luke's condo when we return to the Island. This is the perfect condo so what are you waiting for? Book your reservation today you will not be disappointed.

Place looks just like the pictures! There is AC in the bedroom if you leave the door open, It will sort of cool off the living area as well, which was nice because it was a little warmer than usual the week we were here with a high humidity!I don’t think for the price you could beat the location or the amenities. Owner was always responsive and if we come back, we’d stay here again. Had some great amenities even beach chairs, which we didn’t need, but it’s great to see them there. Nice cooking pots and pans not the cheapies which also was a great touch.

Location, location, location!Complex is located just a quick stroll from the Coconut Marketplace. The grocery there has most things you need, and there are pre-packaged sandwiches to grab for the beach. If you want to do your own cooking, there's a Safeway Store across the road, which has everything. And BONUS, 2 of our favorite restaurants on the island are just past the Safeway: JO2, which has wonderful local food, is prepared by a skilled chef-owner, I believe. It is upscale dining, but if you go to Happy Hour, it's a real bargain, considering the quality of the food. (Don't miss the tempura green beans!)The other special dining spot is Aina Kauai, which is VERY fine dining, with special fare from another chef-owner. We like to sit at the counter, so we can speak with Chef Mitch, whose delicately-crafted Japanese menu is adventurous and exotic-- and everything is just delicious. I'm not big on raw fish, but I'll eat everything he puts in front of me. Worth the splurge.As for the condo, it has AC in the bedroom, which is VITAL for a good night's sleep. The mattress is nice, and the views are great. Oh, if you want a fun breakfast or lunch spot, just walk along the beach path to the Lava Lava Beach Club! Dine right on the beach -- don't feed the chickens, tho. We never had time to use the lovely pool, but it's just steps from your door. The Hawaiian music on the radio when we arrived fit the moment perfectly, and we left it on for our entire stay.

Everything was wonderful. Your instructions were easy to follow and check in went smoothly. Might want to restock the kitchen to make up four sets of everything as it is low on silverware! Also for people who would rather cook there is a shortage of bowls etc. Otherwise everything was clean and exactly as expected. An excellent place to stay. Thank you

Growing up in Canada, my family visited Hawaii every winter. My husband and I are fortunate to now live on the island of Oahu. Kauai is just a short trip for us and is our favorite of the Hawaiian islands to visit. We love the slower pace and opportunity to vacation close to home. We enjoy relaxing at the beach as well as hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling and surfing. No wonder we love Kauai as it is a perfect island for outdoor activities and water sports.

Why they chose this property

The view is absolutely amazing. We love being right on the ocean. Kauai has been our favorite vacation destination for many years.

What makes this property unique

The location is ideal being only 10 minutes from the airport and central to exploring the island both to the north and south. Wailua Bay View is close to shops and restaurants, yet quiet and peaceful. We really enjoy the walking distance to the protected beach cove for little ones and nearby Lydgate Park.
