Mountain Air - Relaxing Pet Friendly Condo With Mountain View

Note: Paperwork must be submitted to gate and POA 3 days prior to your stay (not including the day you arrive) and if not received the POA will not allow you into the neighborhood. I cannot accept reservations last minute.

Escape to the mountains at this beautifully decorated and comfortable condo in charming Burnsville. Dogs are welcome!! This condo is fully furnished and provides all of the comforts from home. The home is located in the gated community of Mountain Air and is very private. Relax on the porch and enjoy this area even when it is raining or snowing. Great views from the condo and amazing views from the top of the mountain. Hiking trails are available for access within the neighborhood even a few just steps from the condo. Relaxing parks are available for use throughout the mountain.

This condo in a building of six is down a flight of stairs and on the right hand side of the building.

Two bedrooms:
Master Suite with Queen Size bed, side tables, access to the porch. A double sink bathroom with clawfoot tub and separate stand up shower. Shampoo and Soap provided.

Second Bedroom with 2 single beds. Bathroom with tub/shower combo and single sink.

Living room open to Kitchen and Dining room. Comfortable couches to relax on. Kitchen has everything you should expect from your home kitchen including Coffee maker, pots/pans, utensils and storage containers.

Skiing in the winter is near by at Wolf Ridge. Hiking at Linville Falls, Crabtree Falls, and Mt Mitchell and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway are less than an hour drive. Great fly fishing can be found around Burnsville and Spruce Pine area. Golf Courses are located nearby at Mt Mitchell Golf Course and Grassy Creek Golf Course.

NOTE: Starting in 2019, the Country Club Board has decided that the Country Club facilities are not allowed for rental guest (unaccompanied guest) use unless your stay is 30 days or longer, further there is a $1500 transfer fee of the membership to the renter. This is applicable to all property owners and rental homes on the mountain.

A Mountain Dream

What an incredible place to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. The views are absolutely stunning and every possible amenity is provided for a comfortable stay. Short drives to asheville and the parkway. Whenever we make our next trip to the area, sooner rather than later, Mountain Air is where we'll be staying.

Lovely but filthy

Lovely place that has a mouse problem. Droppings in the couches, my bed and in some of the kitchen drawers. Great place to hike.

I am sorry that this happened for our guests, we have thoroughly cleaned and taken additional steps to keep mice out of our place including engaging our pest control service for the building regarding this feedback. We will also be having our cleaners check back frequently between guests to detect any concerns within the condo.

Fall Retreat

Although we had a couple challenges upon check-in, Kristin was extremely responsive. The unit was cozy and offered all of the comforts of home including a great fireplace and an exquisite mountain view. This was a perfect time of year to visit as the fall foliage was so vibrant. We greatly appreciated the opportunity and would recommend to our friends and family. If you are looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly disconnect, look no further.

The perfect treehouse in the mountains!

My family and I were visiting colleges in North Carolina and drove from Miami, Florida. After a couple nights in Chapel Hill and Raleigh, we wanted to stay somewhere in the mountains with a nice view. Well - this condo exceeded all our expectations and was exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful Mountain View’s, peaceful and quiet, safe, secluded, and it made us feel like we were in an amazing treehouse in the mountains. I highly recommend this property. We will be back!

Christmas Get-away

This was my second time to rent this property and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! The condo is perfect: well laid-out, perfectly furnished and the kitchen is wonderfully appointed. And, THE VIEW. Wow. It is just gorgeous. Kristin is a wonderful host and quick to respond to questions. The Mountain Air community is very rustic, yet manicured and well cared for. This was a perfect place to celebrate Christmas but I'd go anytime to just relax and recharge.

We stayed at this Mountain Air condo for a quick family getaway weekend. Kristin made the reservation process super easy and she welcomed our small dog also. We arrived late on Friday evening and the gate attendant was super friendly - we were tired after traveling at the end of our work day and this brought a smile to our faces. Comfortable beds and nice towels were very welcoming. The view from the condo is truly beautiful. We hiked the short trails (accessible from the parking lot!) with our kids and dog. And for more scenic trails, the BRP and Mt Mitchell are 30-45 min away. We discovered a beautiful falls with an easy hike at Roaring Fork Falls (30 min drive and .5 mile walk in). Several restaurants to choose from in Burnsville or ample kitchen supplies to stay in and cook with a view. :)

If I could give more than five stars, I would. This was the most wonderful get-away spot! The two bedrooms are both a generous size and the living room has a huge window looking out towards the mountains. Exactly what we wanted! The kitchen was well-supplied and plenty of counter space. I can't wait to go back! The condo is high up on the side of a mountain, in the last unit so there is extra privacy. The gated community is very well maintained and when we got snow, crews had been up and out salting and plowing by 7:00am! The grounds are gorgeous and the security at the front of the neighborhood gave us an extra feeling of being safe. We went to The Biltmore one day, an easy drive. We really didn't venture out more than that because of Covid, five inches of snow and just wanting to relax in the condo. This was the perfect place to kick back!

I would highly recommend staying at this property. The condo unit is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The mountain view is extraordinary. The host is so very accommodating and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here very much! A few things to note: You must sign an agreement to not use the Mountain Air facilities. This condo is in the mountains. The road is well-maintained but be careful driving! The unit is down a flight of stairs so be prepared to carry your stuff. This unit is dog-friendly and there was some dog hair on the couch that we had to vacuum off.

The condo is so cozy and can’t beat the view! Bed was very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace came on with a flip of a switch so that was convenient. The water closet in master bath was very cold but that was the design of the condo not owners fault. Kristen was easy to communicate with and helpful!

Third time is still the charm

This is the third time I've stayed at this lovely condo with its welcoming atmosphere and breathtaking views. My daughter and I came for a long weekend for her birthday and, while I would have been happy to have spent every minute lounging around on the couch watching movies, reading, and enjoying the gorgeous view, she wanted to get out and explore a bit. Downtown Burnsville is just a few minutes away, so we did a little shopping, a little eating, and I still managed to get in some good couch time too. I love staying here and hope to come back again!

Wonderful time.

The condo was easy to find and spacious enough for my wife and I. The view from the deck was spectacular, and the fall colors were everywhere. Burnsville is a very small town short on restaurants but there are a couple that were nice. Overall a great experience.
