Welcome to Sally's Oasis at Smith Mountain Lake!

This amazing lakefront townhouse has been in our family for over 33 years! Originally purchased by my grandparents as a vacation home for them and extended family and friends, we've grown up enjoying this little bit of paradise every summer!

*loft is not accessible for renters*

- parking (1 spot at townhouse; more parking down the street at the Napoli on the Lake restaurant)

- 3 bedrooms w/ Queen Size Beds
- 2 full bathrooms (ensuite for Master; ensuite for Lakeview), 1 powder room (kitchen level), and 1 laundry room w/ shower, toilet, and sink (lower level)
- “entertainment” rm (flex space) on the lower level next to the laundry rm. Has a projector for watching movies. A great spot for hanging out and playing board games.

- 4 TVs w/ Amazon Fire Stick (hulu, Netflix, YouTube, etc)
- Large kitchen with a lot of counter space, fully stocked with all necessary cooking and eating utensils, plates, cups, and spices.
- Full living room/dining room (table seats 6 comfortably) + stool seating at the kitchen counter + table for 6 on the back porch, as well 5 additional seats on the back porch.
- Charcoal and propane grills on the lower back deck, near the hammock
- No smoking allowed
- No pets allowed
When you walk through the front door, you immediately feel a sense of peace and relaxation. With plenty of space, there is a place for everyone to enjoy an afternoon nap, read a good book, paint, play a game, watch a movie, and have a good meal. There are two back decks (one on the main-level and one on the basement level) that you can enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset reflecting on the lake. Neighbors are very welcoming and quiet and always willing to help. Easy access to the boat dock and beach, as well the community clubhouse with: outdoor Olympic-length swimming pool with lap lanes, children's wading pool and play area, indoor pool & jacuzzi spa, tennis courts, pickleball courts, racquetball court, basketball court, beach volleyball court, horseshoes, and cornhole.
Easy access - via car or boat - to many of the amazing Smith Mountain Lake restaurants and shops! Just 15 minutes from grocery stores and an easy 45 minutes to Roanoke and the surrounding cities of Bedford and Lynchburg.

We are The Mitchells! I am the granddaughter of Sally (hence - Sally's Oasis) and Dave Hermansdorfer, who have been the proud owners of this beautiful getaway. The Hermansdorfer family - including 4 generations - has been visiting Bernard's Landing for over 33 years. We love the tranquility of the community, and the adventurous opportunities that the lake and mountains provide. We (Keelyn and Chris) reside locally, but many of the other Hermansdorfers are in Florida, Kentucky, and Montana! No matter what life throws at us, we always make it a priority to vacation at Smith Mountain Lake every year!

Why they chose this property
This property is extremely comfortable and peaceful, providing a perfect getaway for the most adventurous and not so adventurous personalities. There is plenty of action on the lake, through local nightlife, and surrounding attractions (like vineyards, skiing, and golfing), but, it is just as enjoyable for those who want to stay at home and watch the sun set, with a glass of wine in hand.
What makes this property unique
This is an all-in-one property; you can come and stay here for days without having to leave. Quiet neighbors, walking distance to the local restaurant/pub and clubhouse, and a safe community - onsite security. This is a place where you can let your kids run freely on the lawn between the townhouse and the lake, and enjoy the view from the back porch. 4th of July fireworks are quite a sight to see, and everyone at Smith Mountain Lake knows that Bernard's Landing has the BEST views!
