About the host

Host profile image
We’re a family of five from the Charleston, SC area who love anything that gets us outdoors and exploring. After years of living by the beach, we’d escape to the mountains of North Carolina for fresh air, rushing rivers, and a slower pace of life. When we started looking for a place of our own, we didn’t just search for houses—we searched for rivers to fish! The moment we found this property, we knew it was special. Honestly, it wasn’t so much the house that won us over, but the land itself. With sweeping mountain views and direct access to the crystal-clear South Toe River, it’s our little slice of heaven. We often spend entire days here without ever needing to get back in the car—whether we’re fishing, hiking, splashing in the river, or just soaking in the peace and quiet. Our Burnsville home is truly a unicorn, and we’re so grateful to share it with others who love the outdoors as much as we do.
