Mountain-top Cabin Get-away w/ Hot Tub & a View! Only 10 minutes from Helen!
This rustic cabin resembles a tree house in the mountains! There are NEW beautiful year round mountain views while relaxing on the deck, in the hot tub, or sitting on the swing under the deck. Enjoy sitting by the gas fireplace in the living room on the cool nights or head outside and warm up around the fire pit! There is plenty of wildlife to be seen including bears, but no need to worry they are more scared of you than you are of them!
Amenities: •Kitchen- refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, coffee maker & fully stocked with most utensils and cookware you may need. There may be other cooking supplies like oil, sugar & and other seasoning that guest choose to leave for future guests. There is also a gas grill on the deck for cooking out.
•Living Room- sleeper sofa (sheets, pillows & extra blankets in one of the bedrooms), gas fireplace, smart TV with great WiFi, DVD player, coffee table with movies & games inside. There are hot tub towels in a basket by the front door. AC unit is also centrally located in the living room area.
** ONLY USE THE TIMER TO THE LEFT OF THE MANTLE NEXT TO THE TV TO TURN THE GAS FIREPLACE ON/OFF. Any other method may result in the pilot going out. Our housekeeper ALWAYS checks that the fireplace is working properly before and after EACH reservation. Due to the amount of variables that can result in the pilot light going out (i.e. tampering with controls inside the fireplace itself, strong wind gusts coming down the flue, dust falling into the pilot, etc. which are all out of our control) we will not be able to relight the pilot until after you have checked out. We have tried walking guests through the process over the phone in the past but most have been unsuccessful due to the level of difficulty. If the pilot does go out and you have knowledge of gas fireplace inserts you are more than welcome to try and relight the pilot yourself. We don’t offer any type of discount if the fireplace stops working during your stay.**

Perfect mountain view from the cabin and hot tub! We loved that it was dog friendly. The location was perfect for visiting Helen and many of the hiking trails to waterfalls in the area.
Great property. Very quiet secluded setting but also very close to Helen. Highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub was great. Was also nice to be pet friendly so we could bring our dog to hang out with us.
The location was great and the cabin was wonderful. The only thing the could be added to improve the stay would be a washer and dryer. Also, a bigger tv in the living room would be great too. Overall, I enjoyed staying in this cabin.
It was a nice little cabin big enough for 3 of us. Clean, good location, secluded. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Only issue we had was heating situation could not get it warm enough in cabin. 20 degrees sleeting and snowing when we got there. Had to sleep in coats not enough heat in cabin.
We enjoyed every bit of our stay. We go to Helen every year around Christmas and this was our best year yet. The hot tub worked great, the cabin was clean and comfortable for our family. A great location in the woods away from the busyness of downtown. The owner, Mike, was super responsive and welcoming.
We had a wonderful stay here! The location was perfect, a lovely view, beautiful sunrises, and we made much use of the fire pit, hot tub and fireplace! Easy access to Helen, Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State Park. It was just the escape to the mountains that we needed!
Comfortable, clean with a nice view & close to downtown Helen. We enjoyed our stay & recommend booking this cabin for your get-away. Bring your bathing suit & some firewood!
Very clean and cozy Mountain View cabin. New hot tub right outside the door on the covered porch. Nice, easy to use gas fireplace. Host is responsive and helpful.
Great place to stay. It was quiet and cozy. Only thing I would say is that the couch needs an upgrade other then that it was amazing!!

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Check-in was at 4, but not able to access the rental until 530 and cleaner was still there. Floors not swept or mopped, counters not wiped down with crumbs on them. Beds looked like they were not changed with dog hair all in the sheets and the extra bedding looked like it had been used to swipe the floors. The extra sheets were so twisted up and wrinkled and had an off odor to them, the hot tub had scum all on top of it so it was unsafe to use, even though host said it had been drained and refilled. Tub had only been rinsed out as there was still hair and soap residue and toilet still had cleaner in it not flushed. Host was very generous about the inability to check in, he allowed an hour later checkout! The home was not cleaned! Host was full of excuses when advised of the lack of being clean. Said cleaner had too many to clean, traffic (which I did not notice at all). If place had been given a cleaning, it would have been a really nice experience. Had to go buy sheets and blankets just to sleep. Was trying to convince my friends that VRBO was the way to go, but not successful due to the lack of cleaning. : ( Rating of 1 out of 10 for cleanliness, but would be a great place is it had a little more attention to the cleaning. Also, the sewer was leaking under the house that you could smell from the swing.
Quiet and tucked away in the mountains, this cabin was perfectly located for a quick break from everything. My wife and I enjoyed the peaceful privacy, beautiful views, mountain roads, and quick access to Helen. It was exactly what was needed before our new arrival arrives.
We had a great stay! The cabin was nice and cozy. We really loved going to Helen as well. The cabin amenities were pretty straight forward like WiFi, and the basic rules of the cabin. We did get woken up by a black bear the first morning knocking the trash can over outside. We just picked it back up and put the stuff that was in it back in the trash can. They can be pretty strong. Thanks again for making my family so welcome!
Absolutely Beautiful property. Cute Inside, cozy fire place. Easy travel with a Honda civic. Gravel but well maintained roads. No laundry, bring heavy blanket in the winter. Great water pressure from the shower! Included things were Hangers, extra towels, pillows. All the dishes, Ice in the freezer. Had plenty of trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper. Dog friendly. Neighbors are close, but not too close. Saw a bear walk across the driveway. It rained a monsoon the first night but no standing water. Overall we were really happy with the property.
