Location, Location, Location! We are in the middle of it all.
Much to see and do in Waikiki. The World’s most famous beach is just two short blocks away. Watch the sunsets from nearly any vantage point along the beach and see the Friday night fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The nearby neighborhood includes several major hotels and numerous large and small restaurants and nightclubs that cater to every nationality. Ask the kamaaina (locals) for their tips. The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and other “World Class Shopping” may be found on Kalakaua Avenue (the street fronting the beach). A few blocks away you will find famous Kapiolani park and the Waikiki Shell, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Diamond Head, golfing and many tennis courts.
Public Transportation bus stops are located nearby and open the whole island to you. Parking is available onsite and is located in the below street level garage. Daily parking fees are approx. $30 per 24 hours. Payment options may be selected at the vending kiosk located at the top of the ramp. But who needs a car in Waikiki? Everything is in walking distance. But if you have an itch to venture out, the island's bus transit system is awesome.

No instructions on how to deal with 2 remotes to power up tv. Waited way too long to get into condo. No enough shampoo, soap, clean sheets for 4 week stay.

All requests for guest to provide arrival information well in advance of check in date, up to and including the day before, were not responded to which is the reason for guest's delayed check-in. Bath amenities are provided to start a guest's stay. As noted in the listing and rental agreement which the guest did not read, we provide enough to get through the first few days to give guests time to replace and stock the listing as they require for the remainder of their stay. I responded in person, three times at the beginning of the guest's stay to physically show them how the remotes work.

Toplage, nur 150 m vom Strand entfernt, jedoch mitten im Urlaub Renovierung
Der Wohnkomplex Kuhio Village Towers 1 + 2 mit je 12 Stockwerken stammt etwa aus den 80 er Jahren und bedarf dringender Grundsanierungen. Die Wohnung, Appt. 502A, selber war top in Ordnung im 5. Stock. Jedoch war seit längerem geplant, dass genau in unserem Urlaubs-Zeitraum von 3 Wochen an 2 Wochen die Renovierung der Abwasser und Wasserleitung anstehen würde: wechselweise in Tower 1 + 2 und je Bereich abwechselnd. Bedeutete 7 Werktag war von 09:00 - 15:00 Uhr das Wasser komplett abgeschaltet.
Bedeutete keine Möglichkeit die Wohnung zu nutzen: Wasser/Abwasser braucht man nämlich immer, ansonsten keine Toilette, Dusche, Waschbecken, Spülbecken, Kaffeekochen, Kochen überhaupt etc. Hieß auch: Toilettengang war, entwürdigend genug, im Hotel nebenan, dem Hyatt Regency angesagt.
Es wurde einem vom Vermieter zwar während des Aufenthalts erzählt, das wäre ungeplant gewesen. Das stimmt aber nicht: der General Facility manager, Hausmeister, erklärte, dass das wegen der im Erdgeschoss befindlichen öffentlichen Waschautomaten/Laundromat dringend erforderlich gewesen und geplant war.
Fazit: Darauf (diese Einschränkung) hätte der private Vermieter bzw. seine Agentur bei der Vermietung hinweisen müssen oder sie gar nicht in diesem Zeitraum anbieten dürfen. Der Host/Verwalter der Wohnung, Richard Kelly, verwies lapidar darauf, wir sollten unseren Tag eben "drum herum planen" - unfassbar
