About the host

Hosted by Connie Jaquess

Host profile image
Originally from Texas, David and Connie started a Christian camp in Capitan mountains of New Mexico in 1991 called Fort Lone Tree. In 1998, they then moved to Oklahoma to live and work as the Executive Director at New Life Ranch near Siloam Springs, AR for 16 years. They retired and moved to Bella Vista the end of 2014. They love Bella Vista: the beautiful area and all the exciting things to see and experience. David passed into the presence of the Lord May 12, 2023 after a 4 year journey of thyroid cancer. Connie continues to host and maintain their lovely Lake House at Bella Vista.

Why they chose this property

David and Connie fell in love with the property when they first bought it in 2005. They were looking for a unique place to move to when they retired from New Life Ranch. They both loved the wonderful views of the lake from almost every room. They appreciated the easy slope to the lake from the house. They love sitting out on the hanging red chairs or deck enjoying the soothing view of the lake. The grand kids all love fishing and swimming off the dock or a boat ride on the seldom busy lake.

They purchased "The Lake House at Bella Vista" in 2005 with the intent to retire but in the meantime put the home in the rental market through Vacation Rentals in Bella Vista. Upon retirement, they decided to buy another house in the area to live and handle the rental of The Lake House at Bella Vista themselves. They love meeting many of the "new friends" who enjoy this comfortable home.

What makes this property unique

It has a wonderful floor plan that invites family and friends to spread out for intimate conversation or gather together to celebrate special times. We have even hosted an outdoor wedding and casual receptions.

There are two separate living areas. The casual upstairs living room has a fabulous view, gas fireplace, a 65" big screen TV, and comfortable seating. The downstairs den has a "fisherman's
cave" feel with a 70" big screen TV, comfortable seating, a game tables, a gas fireplace and a wonderful view of the lake.

Each bedroom has it's own TV and bathroom, very comfortable beds, electric fireplace and sitting areas. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of seating in the dining room of the Bella Vista room.

The game room is a favorite for many along with the outside games of horseshoes, bean bag toss, and ladder ball.

Connie likes to call her home "classic casual comfort". We hope it becomes your "home away from home:!
