Nestled on Eagle View Drive, this restored cabin blends rustic charm with modern comforts. We have poured time and energy into making this our perfect cabin getaway for the family for fishing and enjoying the Kenai Peninsula. Relax on the covered porch, enjoy meals at the picnic table, and watch for moose passing by. Inside, a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, and cozy living/dining area await on the main floor. Upstairs, find a queen bedroom (with space for a pack-n-play) and a second bedroom with two Twin XL beds.
Step outside to enjoy moose sightings, a picnic table, and a covered porch — perfect for relaxing in the fresh Alaskan air. The property has a brand-new septic and water system, so please pardon the landscaping as the natural beauty returns.
Guests have full, private access to the entire two-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin, including the covered front porch and dedicated parking for up to three vehicles.
Local wildlife is often nearby, and moose are occasionally spotted wandering through the property. If you’re lucky enough to see one, please enjoy the experience from a safe distance and give them plenty of room. They’ll usually move along on their own.
Inside, the main floor offers a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher — stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. Just off the kitchen, you’ll find the bathroom with a walk-in shower and all the essentials.
The open living and dining area at the front of the home is a cozy place to unwind while enjoying the view from the windows. A dining table with extra chairs makes it easy to gather and share meals together.
Upstairs, the primary bedroom includes a queen bed, nightstands, luggage racks, and space for a pack-n-play. The second bedroom features two Twin XL beds and a spacious dresser for your belongings. Please note that the second floor has charming slanted ceilings, which may feel a bit snug for guests taller than 6'6".
While there is another full-time residence on the property, only a small section of the driveway is shared. We kindly ask that you be respectful when coming and going to ensure a peaceful experience for everyone.
For your comfort (and to keep the cabin fresh), please do not clean fish inside the cabin or anywhere on the property. The City of Homer Port & Harbor offers excellent, free fish-cleaning stations just a short drive away.

If I could give this place more stars, I would. The cabin was so cute and had all the modern convenience one needs. The cabin was stocked with games and puzzles and tea and coffees. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the weekend in Homer.

Thank you so much for this incredibly kind review—it truly means a lot to us! We’re so glad you enjoyed the cabin and found it cozy, well stocked, and a great place to relax for the weekend.
We love adding those little extras like games, puzzles, and a variety of coffee and tea to help make it feel like a home away from home, so it’s wonderful to hear you appreciated them.
We’d absolutely love to host you again anytime you’re back in Homer!
The cabin is well designed, an efficient use of space. A little tight for more than 2 people. Quiet outdoors and indoors. Thank you for sharing your property and space.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and found the cabin to be well designed and efficient.
It is definitely a cozy space, and we appreciate you noting that for future guests considering group size. We love how quiet and tucked away it feels while still being a comfortable place to relax and unwind.
Thank you again for staying with us—we’d love to host you again on your next trip to Homer!
The cabin is amazing! My daughters were delighted by the cozy feeling and they made themselves right at home baking brownies and eating icecream while watching movies at night. During the day we went fatbiking, hiking, and went over to explore the spit, all of which was within a 5-10 minute drive from the cabin. I really appreciated how Ginger answered all of my questions in advance and helped us create a plan for our stay. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to having to opportunity to visit Homer again.

About the host
Hosted by Ginger
I'm an active person who enjoys camping, hiking, reading, quilting, real estate, and hanging out with my family (husband, sons, cats, & a dog). My favorite time of day is the morning and listening to nature while enjoying a cup of hot coffee or tea. I love the quiet of the country but greatly appreciate the convenience and ability to walk or bike to places in town. I enjoy talking and getting to know people but am also content to be alone.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Homer and have family here. We found this property ( which needed alot of love) and we worked for two years to build what you see now. The neighborhood and location are quiet but still close to town.
What makes this property unique
Our Property is in city limits but just far enough from town you feel like you are away from it all. Surrounded by nature with moose walking through and a quiet outdoor space, we love to enjoy our time here and hope you do to.
