Host very welcoming and responsive Location is great, if you like peace and quiet, near the Equinox Inn. Great for dog walks and cross country skiing. House needs a bit of TLC. The beddroom was comfortable.
This was a great location… close to town but also close to skiing, hiking and skating.

Thank you Penny for your glowing review of the Lyman Cottage! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our convenient location, close to town and outdoor activities. Our goal is to provide a perfect getaway for our guests, and we are delighted that you had a fantastic stay with us.
This was a lovely rustic and quiet cottage with a lot of open land that made it a great spot for dog owners. I really enjoyed the exploring and long walks that started in the back yard and continued to open spaces. It was clean and comfortable, not luxury but what I needed for a quiet writing retreat with my dog Great to have a half bath on first floor since the shower and bedroom -- one large room with three beds -- was upstairs. The stairs were easy enough to navigate, wide and not too steep. If you have any disability issues, the upstairs, the steps to the door, the longish walk from the car parking space, might be an issue, but I have terrible knees and move slow but did just fine. Everything was comfortable and one small perk...the heating/cooling system was super easy to adjust during a week that went from the 20s to the 50s! I would stay here again.
Close to Bromley and StrattonWarm, cozy, clean cottage

Wonderful place to stay in great location. Private, quiet- less than a block away from equinox resort. Walking distance to restaurants. Manchester is a sweet little town with beautiful homes and history
Property and owner were great - I’d definitely recommend and will use them again on future fishing trips to Manchester - easy check-in, clear instructions, great property and location!
Really cozy and comfortable, several fine restaurants walkable, spectacular unobstructed view of Equinox Mountain behind the property. A very special place.

Perfect Home Away From Home
The Quintessential Cottage in Vt was the perfect home away from home for my husband and dog. The house was clean, exactly as described and we had no issues at all. The town was gorgeous and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.
Everything was super clean and comfy, and some of the furniture was evocative of a different time, like Grandma's house. I do think the house could use some minor updates, tho, (i.e. new faucets in sinks and shower). The location is top-notch for enjoying the Village!
From the moment we arrived everything was spectacular, owner was great and the village was beautiful , filled with restaurants and shops enough to stay busy for a couple of days . Hiking close by . Old rock quarry nearby and Mountain View’s are amazing . Would highly recommend this location for a visit. Looking forward to coming again soon
Nice house. Although there was no AC downstairs, there was a beautiful breeze and a fan so it was lovely. Excellent location just a few houses down from the Equinox and a 2 minute drive to the Equinox trailhead.
I booked this cottage to stay with 3 friends for a wedding held at the Equinox Resort, which was less than a block away. The cottage is very charming and a short walk/driving distance to the downtown Manchester area. After an issue with the WiFi upon arrival, Matt was very responsive and we were able to come to a solution. The cottage, while cozy, was a bit small for 4 adults sharing one bedroom (we knew this upon booking due to the proximity to our destination). I would definitely book with Storied Stay again if I return to Vermont.
Excellent value in affluent quiet area. Check in was only flaw due to lock code not working and lack of shoveling on 50 ft walkway ( was done following morning but subsequent snow wasnt) .Home was cozy perfect for my dog and I.Nice cleared sidewalks with marble inlays allowed short walk to equinox falcon lounge access to 9pm 5 minutes to Mulligans irish pub with Excellent food. 15 to downtown area coffee, groceries, restaurants. 20 minutes to Bromley Mt,40 to Stratton Hest works well actually had to keep low at night to sleep comfortably. This old residence has been renovated very well with new windows, seems insulated. Furniture could be updated but a nice wide-screen with sound bar and plenty of viewing options made up for itWould stay again

Thank you for your detailed feedback, Bob. We are thrilled to hear that you found value and comfort during your stay at the Lyman Cottage. We apologize for the inconvenience with the lock code and snow shoveling, and appreciate your understanding as we received nearly two feet of snow in just a few hours. Your positive comments about the location, amenities, and renovations are truly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
The cottage is lovely and conveniently located. It was comfortable, relaxing and very quiet - even being on Route 7A. It was perfect for our vacation - hiking in the area, visits with friends and family, Hildene, shopping and a day trip. It was nice to be able to come back and unwind before going out for dinner or have the option to cook. We would definitely stay at the Lyman Cottage again!
The cottage was cozy and great for 2 people. Property was spotless. It was very H&H when we arrived, and the window A/C upstairs cooled the whole cottage. Location was perfect.
The property is spotless....the location ideal. It's in a beautiful neighborhood and one that is highly walkable. There are great restaurants nearby. We have stayed in Manchester before but never enjoyed it as much as we did at Lyman Cottage. Thank you!! We will return.
We loved the location, a short walk to dining and shopping. The cottage is set back from the road so it's a peaceful setting. All in all a great place for a vacation in southern, VT.
