Beautiful views and a great house! My only concern going in was the frequent drive into Lexington, as we were in town for parent’s weekend, but the drive was really easy and we loved the beautiful property
I’ve been going to the area yearly for a number of years, and have stayed in a lot of different set ups. This was by far the best place we have ever stayed in. Between the beautiful well set up house and the view of the farm; plus proximity to the event we were going to, I can’t imagine a better place to stay!
We loved the beautiful views from this very nice, well kept home. The owners of the property were very kind and helpful. We will plan on staying here again.
This was our third time staying at lazy acres. Each of our stays has exceeded the last one. The setting is beautiful, the house is well appointed and Amanda is very responsive. We look forward to our next visit to Lexington so we can stay at lazy acres again.
We loved our stay at Lazy Acres. We stayed here with our family for our sons wedding. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the cows and horses from the deck. The kitchen has everything you need to entertain. Bedrooms comfortable and large. Amanda is a wonderful host and was very helpful. Had the best time!!

Thank you so much. So glad that the wedding was wonderful and the weather cooperated.
Lazy Acres Lodge is just lovely! The home is very comfortable and inviting with many amenities and the view is just spectacular! Our family thoroughly enjoyed it and we hated to leave!
We had a wonderful weekend visit and everyone enjoyed the property. We really enjoyed visiting on the back porch and hanging out in the yard. The kids loved watching the lightening run over the rolling hills. It was a really great location close to town, but very private. Thanks again for the amazing memories!
This is a great place to stay with amazing outdoor amenities. The views are amazing and the large patio is great for a cookout. Amanda was a wonderful host and went above and beyond our expectation. Will stay here again in the future.
I was in Lexington for my daughter's graduation. The location was excellent, and the property was beautiful. My wife and I are looking to go back. I can highly recommend this property.
The home is beautiful with lots of areas for us to hang out. The views are incredible from every window! Our hosts decorated beautifully and were helpful with our questions. We can’t wait to stay there again!

Stunning views of the rolling fields from the deck in the hottub. Cozy furniture for watching TV, and a large kitchen, comfortable beds- it had it all. Thanks for sharing your lodge with us.
Exceeded expectations. Had everything we needed. Gift basket of goodies in kitchen was much appreciated. Rooms were spacious and we felt like we were at home. The views from the back porch were phenomenal. Easy back and forth to graduation events.
Fabulous setting. The views are spectacular. Kitchen well equipped for cooking and grilling outside. The spaces are large and comfortable with stunning views from each room. The host is gracious and accommodating.
Spectacular country view with a wonderful, charming house. Had some 12 plus guests plus family for an outdoor deck party which celebrated a graduation… wonderful setting for such a momentous occasion.
The photos barely do the property justice, it was even more beautiful in person. Sunrise and sunsets are a must-see. We stayed here over the New Year’s holiday and really enjoyed being able to walk around the farm and see the animals and property. The living spaces were comfortably large enough to accommodate our group of 10. Location is very convenient to Lexington, but we preferred more to stay in and enjoy the space! Thank you Amanda for a wonderful stay!

About the host
Hosted by Amanda Baxter
David & Amanda are from Lancashire in the UK and came to America in the mid 80's. We found Lexington when on vacation here and bought the farm in 1993. Lexington is a beautiful small town to raise children in a peaceful environment. There is a good music scene, beautiful scenic hikes and riding trails. Golf and fishing. We are just five miles from downtown Lexington yet out in the countryside surrounded by farmland. It's bliss.
Why they chose this property
The amazing thing about this property is from it's location and views you would think you were miles away from anything and yet you are only 5 miles from downtown and 3 miles to the I81 and I64. Location, Location, Location and this is it. Perfect for reunions, college parents weekends and graduation gatherings. There are also two log cabins on the farm. Rent everything and have a great gathering at Lazy Acres Farm.
What makes this property unique
It's rare to find a property where so many can stay with such incredible views, yet 5 miles to town and such close proximity to the Virginia Horse Center. In addition to the lodge on the farm, we also have two logs cabins sleeping up to 5 or 6 people each but out of site of the lodge. So if it's privacy you want you have it. Perfect for family reunions, graduations and weddings. Plenty of rolling acres to hike around and just get away from the town and enjoy nature on your doorstep. The property is on Maury River road and 8 miles to the wayside, picnic tables and shelter which is a wonderful place to fish or swim or picnic by the river.
