About the host
Hosted by Alex Battard
Hi, I’m Alex. I love the Bryson City area and built this place as a simple “reset” spot—great views, quiet evenings, and the spa amenities that make a weekend feel like a real break. Whether you’re a couple or a small family, my goal is for you to arrive, settle in fast, and enjoy the mountains without hassle.
Why they chose this property
We chose this spot for the views and the peace, while still being close to everything. You’re tucked up in the mountains with a quiet, private feel, but it’s only a short drive into Bryson City for restaurants, breweries, and shopping. What we enjoy most is ending the day back at the house—sunset views, a fire outside, and a quiet night under the stars. This location is a great basecamp for the Smokies and Nantahala area. Deep Creek in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an easy drive, and Nantahala Gorge adventures are close enough for a day trip. We like that you can spend the day hiking, tubing, or rafting, then come back to a calm, scenic place to recharge.
What makes this property unique
This is a true mountain “spa retreat.” The private spa deck includes a hot tub, cedar barrel sauna, and cold plunge, all paired with long-range mountain views. It’s designed for an easy reset—quiet setting, simple self check-in, and a clean, modern interior that feels more like a boutique stay than a typical rental.
