I am a former fashion designer who became a mother and then a clinic and property manager. In my spare time I love being creative by doing pottery, making jewellery, knitting, weaving, painting and attempting to do any other craft that inspires me. I am married to a veterinarian who aspires one day to become a world famous writer. We are now empty nesters as our kids are all grown up. Our son is a veterinarian and practices alongside his father in our family clinic. Our eldest daughter practices law in Vancouver and our youngest daughter is working on her PHd in geology as she loves studying ROCKS and how we evolved. We own two vacation properties that are very special to us. We have decorated them with things we have either found or built ourselves. As owners, we strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible by offering you all the comforts of home. Nothing pleases us more than feedback from our guests who enjoy our places as much as we do. We know the areas and are here to help make recommendations on the best spots to visit, dine or types of activities to participate in.

Why they chose this property

The french say of Charlevoix: 'Charme moi'. With this house as your base, experience the scenic drives and many picturesque villages of Charlevoix and be charmed. Picnic on the pier of Port au Persil and watch whales, seals and belugas frolic or drive to Tadoussac for a closeup excursion with them. Spend a day trip on the scenic train that runs from Quebec City through Baie-St-Paul and ends in La Malbaie. At La Malbaie, you can enjoy the waterfront shops, go to the Casino, play a round of golf at Manoir Richelieu or dine in one the town's fine restaurants. Le Domaine Forget has a summer festival of music by prestigious soloists and jazz icons. In the Fall, for art lovers their is the 'Reve d'Automne', a painting festival with renown painters, and for the food enthusiasts there is le 'Galade des grand Chef'. For outdoor actives, winter offers alpine and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and dog sledding. The area is ideal for kayaking, hiking, kite boarding, fishing, mountain climbing and so forth. We recommend you visit the Charlevoix tourist information website as there are way too many things to list.
