Peters Island in Oldtown of Goslar
Goslar and the Rammelsberg mine and the water construction are World Heritage sites. You get, so to speak, three World Heritage sites for just one visit. You live here in our old half-timbered house. It is located in the most beautiful part of Goslar's Old Town next to the Frankenberger Church. The surroundings are simply magical.
Me and my wife built the appartement as a recreational place, where we sometimes live or our daughters, when they come to visit us. So our Appartement is a living place and not a hotel. You find books, games, Videos, an electronic piano, an espresso and a coffee maker, as we like to live. So we sometimes leave the world behind and have time for us. We are happy, that our guests love the place like we do, so very seldom breaks in the appartement. When you come, we love to show you everything you need to know, living there.

I am working in the oldest book shop from Goslar, I love to read, to renovate. I am playing the guitar and the violin. I am singing in a choirs. I always want to learn new things. So I am sailing, I am radio amateur, I am programming for my shop in different languages. I am renovating our home. There is always something to do. :)
Why they chose this property
The property is near my home, where I lived as a child. When I was younger, I loved to go away, because the town seemed to small. But after some years I came back and bought the book shop from my parents. We use the property for our girls, when they visit us and want to use it, when we grow older.
What makes this property unique
You are near the city and near the nature.
It is quiet. The cars are only alowed to driv through the street, when they have something to deliver. The half timbered houses are very cute, so they where used as film production scenes for fairy tales. Our house is a old forest workers home and we try to bring it very careful to the new standards.
